| Quote: Eastern Wildcat "Was reading on Serious About Rugby League on my way into work this morning.
There is a story about a bit of a transfer merry go round in the NRL, surrounding Sydney Roosters, and it looks like some of their players are being released, two of which were props, think one was called Tetevano, and the other was Hargreaves.
Didn't see as to whether or not they're staying in Aus or looking further afield.
There was also those names brandished about 2-3 weeks ago, that were NRL players offered to super league. Sure some of these were props.
It will be just what is a good fit for us personality wise and salary wise, to fit within budget'"
Both the Roosters players will get gigs in the NRL if they leave, JWH is a current NZ international and would cost a fortune as would Tetevano. I've heard tetevano's name mentioned on these forums for another team, can't remember if it was Wire or somewhere, he's also got a Domestic violence convictionso don't know if he would get a VISA.

| Fair enough Shifty.
Thought the NZ international may be out of our league, and as for the other, no we wouldnt want that sort of personality.

Yeah Tetevano to Warrington has been doing the rounds for the last 2 months, JWH will likely get a deal in the NRL but most teams will have to move players on to accommodate him - It is just how tight the cap is in Australia now - Could be a marque player for a SL club if any that can afford him have any spots left?

Seems to be a no from most clubs, scary to think the money that they are wasting on subsidising players salaries playing for other clubs. Wonder if Salford will take him? Last I heard, even paying 60% of his wages he would still be on a top wage - Thewlis seems to get it wrong time after time.

I’m disappointed you haven’t included Jordan Crowther in the 17.

Why I quite like crowther and am sure he will play - but we’ve signed westerman as our starting loose forward , ashurst if fit will definitely get one second row shirt , then between potential new signing - batchelor Pitts and of the 3 known ones think both Pitts and batch are probably in front of him in pecking order - although I do aacept crowther improved last year and batch seemed to go backwards

| And if the new signing isn’t a back row and becomes a prop would play kt in back row in front of Pitts etc

| Quote: alegend "Batch only went backwards because of injury ,still high up in the pecking order'" I agree but if he wants a starting slot he’s going to have to up his game, whereas crowther was much improved on previous year , but if Chester was content with second row don’t suppose he’d be looking down under - personally think if we have anything like a normal season - there’s going to be a lot of competition to get a game

That's a really strong squad in my opinion and if Broughy has another season in him and Miller and Hampshire also go well then I'm fairly optimistic if we get that all-important dose of good luck, or just no bad luck will do.
