It's just a sign that it's going to be silly season for a while.
People know we have money coming in and need to build a team.
We'll get all kinds of names 'guarenteed' for a while.

Hopefully Ellis deal can be signed and Powell can't start announcing actual signings soon.

Quote: Scarlet Pimpernell "I suppose it is a sign of his actual personality because it clearly bothers him that the supporters may actually see how a well funded club operates or why post about a possible signing. I hope he realises that he is no longer responsible for our signings because I am sure he gave up this job when he resigned.
We have endured several seasons of his brand of negativity so I think the supporters don’t need it, we deserve better and we now have that opportunity. I know it will take time for some on here to adjust to a positive experience supporting Trinity. I would say stick with it you might actually enjoy the experience.'"

They have run the club on what funds they had , in hindsight they probably have done things differently don't we all. Don't you really think that have not looked for other money people to cone along in the last ten years. I really hope that we go forward with new owner and from what I see the foundations are in place so he can then invest in areas mc etc could not due to lack of funds

Sadly, I have to agree with a large part of this.

We may have made improvements to the stadium, but I feel more needs to be done really, on other parts to the stadium.

Its more on the pitch where we've got it wrong, very wrong. O know it comes down to money, or lack if it. It didnt seem a lack of it when we brought in Lineham and Gaskell. Old news, yes, but were in our squad at the start of the year, added to this our very own travel blogger. The three combined would probably have eaten into our budget, and for what?

How many players we could have brought in on the same or similar kind of money, who could have given us a bit more?

Also, showing a little more faith in our younger players over the past 2-3 years, rather than bringing in journeymen

Fortunately, our new owner is looking at improving everything and not just the playing side, so hopefully, we can get those finishing touches to the north stand and do up the western terrace.

But all those things you list are things not possible because of money, not because the club is run badly.
The club is run very well within the limits of the income.

But, before this keeps going, this is a Team Sheet thread. Let's move the running of the club comments to another thread and leave this for team discussion.

Eastern , with regards to stadium its been explained plans were in place for Western side etc but then covid it and then spiralling cost, , so they had plans but could not follow through for reasons above. However foundation's are there for person with more money. On the playing side agreed we have signed some real duds or not produced but sure all the coaches will have in put as well and yes Is the part mc etc admit they got wrong but whist we were relegated it gives née owner a clean slate

When I was first married I lived in a terraced house in Agbrigg … if I only had vision it could have been a mansion in Sandal… silly me.. if only I had your wisdom…

Oddly when I started earning enough money I lived in some pretty big houses… funny that money makes the difference!

Your wasting your time mate- MC and JM have ruined the club and can never be forgiven and any positive contributions they made will not be acknowledged by some people who themselves wouldn’t have a clue how to run the club .

Theg have done nothing over at least a 7 year period to increase support.
Everything they have done resulted in negativity.
By increasing gates and income streams in general you increase finances .its amazing that they have had such a steady time of it.
The atmosphere round the place was like a think life sucking smog.

Correct.

They have done absolutely nothing to improve this.

You cant just go with an attitude of people will come, ultimately good performances help, and a winning team helps.

Sometimes though, dangling a carrot helps. We dangle nothing. I was at Wigan earlier, and they have adult season tickets priced for 2024 at something like ÂŁ220. Had we have stayed up , a seated ticket in the east stand would probably set be back for pushing ÂŁ100 more.

I know MC and JM arent made of money, but neither are I, or the other die hard supporters. In turning to us every time isnt the right way to go from our current fan base to bigger numbers. In somweways that carrot needs dangling

Sadly people have stayed away too , due to the poor attitude of certain people at the club. Hopefully, the club can re engage with these to bring them back. That would be a start.

Thankfully, someone finally is prepared to do this, on top of my comments earlier and run it professionally.

Like I said they have been given an extremely easy ride.
Let's see how many demands are made from the new owners from people who have been very happy with the last 10 years.
