TBH, I think a 10,000 capacity would be sufficient based on the [icurrent [/ifanbase and possible expansion.
I am in favour on the idea of that size stadium looking "fuller" compared to a larger capacity.
Maybe an option to expand one or two stands to a 12,000 stadium if required???
With regard to CC semi finals etc. would we get get them that often if we had a 15,000 capacity?
I doubt it with the other venues that are available.

Or maybe a gym for Trinity with the public allowed to use it over certain hours (Yorkcourt financing re community facilities? I know, I know) and maybe a Greggs, Tesco express type things with student accommodation built above the retail outlets?

| I’d have thought a ‘leagues’ club like in Aus. Big bar for before and after all games, corporate meeting rooms, food etc. Like a Wetherspoon’s but owned by the club generating income everyday.

Last thing I want it to stand in a large stadium that is only half full, so you would think a 10k stadium wouild be sufficient for us. Well at the poresent time itwould but are we being a little under ambitious?
Suppose our fan base does grow and we become a major force again, or Wakefield football club come to play there, and they become a success?
I think it should be built to whatever size is anticipated is required now. How much would increasing the capacity cost once the stadium is built?

| Sounds like were keeping hold of Manni' s plans there Jinger, but maybe better with a smaller companies, as companieslike Greggs may bid us into submission, for any rental etc.
Like the idea of a leagues club, but not too sure whether local people would buy into it. I think in Australia, individuals have more disposable income than over here, but the potential of revenue is massive. A mate of mine in Malta, an Aussie worked at Penrith, and said that on slot machines alone, they had about 1000, all of which made money.

Not too sure about that.
Semi finals need to be equidistant for the teams involved and Wakefield would be in an ideal spot for any all Yorkshire games or those involving one of the Hull sides v "Lancashire" opposition
In an ideal world, semi finals would be selling out the likes of Headingley of The Galpharn (John Smiths) stadium and it may be that we continue with the double headers, like Bolton last season but, as stand alone semi finals, 12 or 15,000 is plenty

| I doubt if the slots is a goer the gaming laws are pretty tight on the numbers you can have in a club and the recent publicity of 'addiction' to slots and the reduction in what is allowed in prize money do not make it an attractive option. Outlets such as Greggs need good footfall 6/7 per week would that be available at BV.
Many other viable options out there and I am sure the Club will be looking at every option to get the best deal.

| Just needs a Costa, with the club as the franchisee. That way they could take back most of what they pay out in wages seeing as that seems to be the favourite haunt of players!

| So what the consensus of the style of a new look Belle Vue, I liked the one we were shown before and would the stadium be moved around and try to utilise space.

The big money where grants etc are concerned is in education - a sports/learning centre would get s lot of funding. Retail is a bit old hat as Wakefield I’d not short of such things and there is ample land near BV on the bypass for that kind of stuff.
Just how I see it, community/education is where it’s at and I’d far more likely to get council support.

Even a 10k capacity can look bare when its 5/6k in. The design can incorporate tiered segments so you manage how the seating/standing areas are used always ensuring the lower tiers are filled before any upper areas, LSV has a capacity of 11k and even during their brief stopover in SL had to close segments down which reduces your operating costs and makes it look a bit tidier
