As for Yorkcourt when will sink in with people they have no intention of giving us anything.

I think this is the salient point and has been their plan all along. They want the stadium patch at Newmarket and have no intention of paying the going rate for it. I think they may have had half an idea to pay bottom dollar for BV and roll it in glitter in return for the land but they were not prepared, or couldn't, to put a big enough bid in. They will never build Newmarket so forget about that. So if the BV option also goes by the wayside then we are in a very deep hole indeed. I hope there is a twist in the tale yet and MC has something up his sleeve.

| Let's face it york court never had any intention of building the stadium they needed it to get the pp through and I suspect the newcold separate application was just an added bonus. Even if Newcold had counted they would have built 59999 sq ft and then done nothing else

| Not looking good if we have to leave Belle View and no stadium to go to in Wakey area. you only have to look at Wakefield RUFC, one of the best RU clubs in the country never mind Yorkshire, where are they now, gone and forgotten.

I presume he means that Super Mosque or whatever they call them, they was supposed to be the other interested party for the SB and BV.

You want an apology for what, there is nothing in this statement that could be said to be accurate. The ground which I pointed out before the Catalan game had been sold to a developer not a group of residents from Agbrigg.
I would expect the club knew of the position, so you will need to ask yourself we now have no plan B unless we have done a deal with the developer and once we move out of Wakefield we will never return because we couldn't afford a new ground.
I would also say before you ask I did not see Carter because unlike many on here I have a life that is not ruled by Wakefield Trinity or this forum. I am afraid I do not know what you will do if any move does not work because you will have to go outside and possibly meet people not purely connected to the club.
If I choose I will speak to MC but currently the possibility of me attending any further games this season are slim. I do however look forward to the announcement when it comes, it's a shame they decided to tell the press of the sale of the ground before the supporters.

Well as much as this whole affair stinks, I will still see out the season.
Plus ! I will be buying season tickets again next season if we play at Dewsbury. At least that 100yds outside the fiefdom of Box completely cuts off his influence.
I think whatever happens the club at least deserve one more seasons support before I become a quitter.

| A really sad day for everyone concerned with Trinity & it really looks like Dewsbury is our only option now. I honestly feel that MC has done the best for the club with the garbage hand that he has been left with by a previous owner.
If it is Dewsbury, I'll be there!

| It does say this season which i hold a season ticket for, so like many others any games I do not attend have been pre paid. I guess next season will depend very much on what is perceived to be our future.

| What's to be said?
Honestly what more do you need to know?
We've been roundly stitched up by Peter Box and York Court Properties, Newmarket was never ever on the agenda so forget that because it was nothing more than a mechanism to release the land from green belt.
We don't own Belle Vue so why would anyone spend hundreds of thousands let alone millions of pounds tarting it up, and who's got that sort of money anyway.
When the new developer starts building there will be virtually no access to the stadium and even less parking. When the building works done the developer will turn his full attention to knocking down our stadium and building houses on it, Box will wave the Planning Permission through with a smile on his face.
So come on fellas, what's your solution, where should we play, what can we do?
The day Ted Richardson sold the land to Tillion (himself) and then screwed the Bank of Ireland he nigh on signed the death certificate for Wakefield Trinity.

From what I can see, the club haven't said anything to the press. All they've done is put some old quotes into the article from MC about the ground and found out themselves it's been sold.

MC has said he has meetings about the stadium issue all week, the last being friday, so i wouldn't expect anything until after then when the situation is clearer.

| So am I but I do massively worry that many won't and I wouldn't be surprised if we lost 1000 or more fans off an already fairly small number. Although Sky money practically covers the Cap, that's the other big worry. Will we be spending less on players than we currently are, maybe not so much next season but seasons ahead (that's if we're still in SL in 201icon_cool.gif. Conversely will a move to say Dewsbury cost us less rent than staying at Belle Vue. Also are the RFL going to be cool for a SL team playing out of a stadium of 5000 or whatever it is. Unless there's some cunning plan to expand it but then you run into who's gonna pay for the thing again. Don't envy MC one bit, seems a complete minefield.
