| If Aiton goes, of course it will be a big blow.
He's an import and can be replaced a lot easier than Amor.
For every Paul Aiton or Tim Smith you bring over, there is always another two or three waiting to be given a chance in Oz.
This is possibly the reason why Aiton is being allowed to move.
Would be more distraught if Kirmond went before any of our overseas.

I, m aware of that if we have changed our minds on him we do reserve the right to do so as has any club!

| Think this is yet another sign of the deals Glover did with the players, apparently Hull KR directors fell of their chairs when they tried to sit down with Cockayne and his people. They could not believe the deal he was on at Wakey. He will need to take a pay cut to move to any other club. That said the wages Glover paid are not the players fault so good luck to the lad, I hope we can keep him as he is just the sort of lad you want on your side when the going gets tough, a 100% effort everytime he pulls on the shirt, as fans we can not ask for more on that front. I am sure that with some good coaching he can improve his decision making and positioning in defence.

Last rumour I heard was Warrington. Although if you believed every rumour about DK he'd be turning out for about 6 clubs next season.

He doesn't have an agent for a starter, he is on a decent wage at wakey but not out of this world for a player of his calibre.
So Hull KR are prepared to pay 30k for a transfer fee but then they wont pay a little over the average Superleague salary.
A stumbling block was the length of contract on the table.
I hope Ben stays and wouldn't be surprised if he did.

| I hope he stays also, just the sort of chap you need when the going gets tough, not the most gifted player but makes the very most of his given ability. Best winger we have had at Trinity since Wasa

Possibly with a lesser squad than last year, Cockayne has the type of attitude to keep a team going forward when the team is struggling.
Was mentioned that is the fee equivalent to what Ben can bring to the team?
For me, no.
But if HKR can come to an agreement with Ben, he will keep Rovers going when they are struggling with the loss of Dobson.

| Not a big believer in players going back, Ben was great for us and have a lot of time for him but thats gone and we have moved on. Would like to see a move for Poore if there,s a chance. As for dobbo...we move on again, will see a different KR next season.

| Seen as though we're a bit light on the squad front, now only having 19 registered players for next year
Looking at the people that are either OOC or have been released for next year, they're not exactly brilliant replacements, but are capable of doing a job for us.
Ben Cockayne & Liam Kay- Jack Briscoe / Michael Robertson / Liam Colbon / Adam Swift / Rhys Williams
Paul Aiton - Paul Mcshane / Liam Hood
Justin Poor & Kyle Amor & Oliver Wilkes - Richie Moore / Keith Mason / Julian Bousquet
Tim Smith - Michael Witt / Nathan Ashe / Thomas Bosc
Vince Mellars & Frankie Mariano - Constantine Mika / George Griffin / Gregory Mounis

The only thing I would say is that we should aim locally first and decide which area we need to go elsewhere for.
BC needs replacing but Kay wasn't really a first teamer yet (though of course we all thought he would be this year) We could get a young player and keep Fox and Lyn as main wings if we need to.
Aiton should be primarily replaced by Wildie in my opinion and then backed up by one of those named above
The props are an area where there is not a lot around but I would again prefer 1 strong player with younger ones around them
Tim Smith could be replaced by Goulding. I still think we need another half back though.
Back row we are well covered and I wouldn't replace

| Apart from KM there’s only one of our own on that list , The rest would want a wage/ package  the same as some of those who have left , those like Nathan Ashe , Liam Hood , Jack Briscoe are no where good enough as we have released better in our time.

| Would be looking at world cup players the either play for feeder/lower leagues teams before some of names above.

| Thinking about it, I think I would put all my extra money in the front row.
Back row is fine. Backs range from ok to very good.
Half backs is a question but I think we could make do with what we have if they are well protected and we have a good go forward.
I would be looking at the Samoan/Fijian/Tongan front rows that we have seen recently in the world cup. I wouldn't take just any of them, but there are some great prospects there.
