Quote: Jason "Oh dear we really are nit picking now. I'm worried too but what next soap dispenser run out of soap. This club is work in progress all down there will admit that.'"

Bit dramatic that wasn't it Jason? icon_biggrin.gifAISY: All I asked was a simple question keeping on topic with the HMRC issue.

This was rumoured to have been contributing part of the downfall of Bradford. Hopefully its all above board.

It's amazing how this situation has led some WTW supporters to the point of attempting to dob the club in for tax evasion!

I'm pretty certain that membership fees are zero rated for VAT, hence VAT is shown on your invoice, but at a rate of £0.00.

All perfectly above board I'm afraid, so those of you peddling prophecies of doom will need to look elsewhere. d040.gif

chillpill.gif chillpill.gif icon_biggrin.gifAISY: God we are all jumpy lol, least rumour or slight mistake and the whole world is going to collapse, there are thousands of people that have had no problems what so ever With the club or season tickets or any other thing or even scare mongering, why is it 1% of people hear a bad rumours and take it for gospel, then spread it like a washer women with out facts, stop being so naive people if you a have facts name names or show the links to stories, until then stop moaning and back the club, we have nearly hit 4,000 gold members in the first stage of promotion, lets not stop there lets get 5,000 put our efforts into that, as for stock there will be new stock in store soon icon_thumb.gif

Bloody hell, some right defensive pansies on here! icon_biggrin.gifAISY: Why does asking a simple question relating to the thread topic suddenly brand me as 'peddling prophecies of doom' and 'attempting to dob the club in for tax evasion' Get a grip Bren!

I'm with those who give the club a pass on this one, it's been a baptism of fire right from the very beggining when a skeleton staff took over, in at the deep end with vertical learning curve.

By and large what's been achieved in 20 months is admirable and I'm only surprised that bigger mistakes haven't been made along the way so credit to the staff and those running the club. If we've sorted this and plugged the gap that caused it then I for one am happy with that. I understand the anxiety, I felt it myself, but if it's an isolated incident as explained then we should put it behind us and move on.

Other clubs might not suffer hiccups like this but that's because they've got established systems and personnel in place and probably aren't suffering the same scrutiny from HMRC that Wakefield Trinity are, like it or not we've been in administration twice in 10 years and HMRC have a long unforgiving memory.

My only concern as I stated earlier in the thread was the management of the news itself, IMO it could have been done better and that might have helped avoid the ongoing speculation that's followed.

I think this issue has overshadowed the original point. The cover up, closing of ranks and "we can't reveal" stance has caused the situation to drag on and even escalate.

This is not the old club it is a new club a new owner, It is a blip a mistake the club (new one) as put it behind them and so as the majority of the fans, just the odd few that feed on doom and gloom that can not let go of the past, put it behind you move on go on just give it a try... icon_thumb.gif

I think that this issue is down to incompetence and certain individuals at the Club being "out of their depth". Nobody has done this on purpose, somebody has just dropped a monumental testicle due to being incompetent in their role and in the application of their responsibilities. I believe that the hearts of the people involved in the management of the Club, are in the right place and always will be, however, the facts speak for themselves.

If this would have happened in any other form of business, someone would be dismissed or asked to resign. Andrew Glover is far from being a mug, what he has done is leave the day to day running of a business, in the hands of someone out of their depth. He has trusted certain individuals with being competent in their roles, when obviously they are not and unfortunately, never will be. The job is too big and the stakes are too high to carry on like this any more, we need an injection of experienced people who know how to run a Club/Business, professionally , from top to bottom.

Is it just me that hankers for things being the way they were before the internet? I read somewhere that lives were being handed out at ASDA this week. Maybe we should all go and get one!

are you in the know or have you come to this conclusion just from the fact that there has been an issue with HMRC?
