I absolutely agree, also agree with your point about the Russians.

A few well informed posters pointed out a few month back that they felt some of our younger players were being held back by JK. They certainly had a point, whether they are right or wrong is yet to be proved.

Now though it's become the latest Trinity fans obsession and all our young players now seem to deserve a chance and are being held back by evil foreigners or old men. This simply is not the case, it's not how it works. I see people putting Wallshaw as there first choice Centre, based on what exactly! He has never even played first team and will need bringing on through the season - to start with him at 3 or 4 in the 2012 squad IMHO is plainly irresponsible from a squad point of view. He needs the chance to earn a jersey he's done nothing to warrant just being giving him one. He has by all accounts earned the right to be given a shot at some point in the very near future.

We will continue to require journeymen and overseas players for some time and so long as they are better than what we have or add real depth to the squad I have no issues.

Completely agree with you Vastman. Young players need feeding into the first team gradually, much in the way that Saints did with Roby (and others)
Unfortunately, we just haven't had a deep enough squad this season to allow this and we've had to expose some of the kids to too much too soon.
This is not either the players or the coaches fault, its just the situation that we've faced.
