| 1) sir rodders isn't an idiot
2) re millenium weekend, perhaps supporters leaving the stadium ( thus empty) might prove a point, basicaly neutral fans have a free ticket for the day so it wouldn't cost them.

I think there are more legal shenanigans to come though, because is it so easy to close one company down, start another one, but operate from the same place, doing the same thing, with employees acting under the same contracts of employment? I'm not sure this story is done yet.'"
Good post, i think that the Crusaders are done for, but me been honest i hope we come through and they dont

didn't see this rule change coming to light when you guys were having problems with the tax man, am I cynical in thinking this is all for the benefit of the crusaders????'"
Perhaps, but as it says a number of clubs may find themselves in a spot of bother with regards to back dated image right payments. At least it's filtering out now rather than rival supporters thinking its just Trinity fans making excuses for their tax bill.

Seems ironic after the all the flack our club has to take from other supporters over the tax bill that all along we were really fighting every other clubs corner. It's seems some in power are expecting some more clubs in the brown stuff over this image rights thing. If other clubs do have to go into administration and take the easy way out, we should be credited for doing it right.
What does seem wrong is that if Crusaders know they are going into administration how can they justify continuing to spend? Surly there most some legal issues with this?

| ask yourselves this question - if crusaders hadn't gone belly up do you think the rfl would have sat back and let the image rights issue run it's course????? we will never know. What is to stop other clubs going into administration to avoid there tax obligations thus leaving their creditors high and dry.
I just think the powers that be are using this as a way of ensuring crusaders can have a license next time round, and don't get me wrong i am not having a go at the crusaders I am having a go at the RFL who move the goal posts when it suits - and who gave a license to a club who were still developing and pushed them into superleague to make sky sports and the then owner happy. Their actions have brought the team to its knees and brought the reputation of rugby league into the lime light.
I left to wonder if you guys would have been given the same assistance if you hadn't resolved your issue.

Is there something else we should know? Has the tax bill actually been paid or are there more bills to come?

| God that TB on the VT comes out with some classics. He is suggesting that the vote about removing the administration condition was about the time we were facing a winding up order and so might have been more for our benefit than Crusaders.
Like I said on the VT absolutely no way would they have allowed that clause to be removed for our sake and if they did why would Sir RW pay the tax bill, we could have just gone into admin like Crusaders.

| I can't believe this is even being debated.
The RFL is bent, always has been, always will be. From top to bottom it's the most self-serving, spiteful, amateurish, idiotic administration in world sport.
Super league and Franchising was a golden opportunity to put Rugby League on a sound footing and give the clubs the stability they need to bring through young talent that can eventually challenge the Aussies. But they blew it and we're going to pay.

the RFL is following a plan of extreme dominance tell us all who it wants in the super league we are targeted as well as others,
its up to us as a club and fans to fight them off,
we need to show them that we won't give in and willing to take them to the next stage
time to put our armoury on

Absolutely spot on, and if any further proof were requiredBut, more importantly, the Welsh outfit's license application for three years from 2012 is not affected because of a change in rules made just last month.'"
Un-bloody-believable.

You are so right about the RL being bent but oh so very wrong about franchising, all that did was take the sporting competition out of the bottom half of the league.
Is it worth battling on to be filler in their exclusive little club with no chance of winning anything? or would it be better to be big fish in the championship with a chance of silverware every season. And before you lot jump on me , I include Cas in the championship statement.
Superleague is a joke
