It depends how we look at things.

Got to take this on a short term and long term basis.

Long term…madness.

Short term it probably makes sense.

We have Langi and Lynn, as well as Gaskill able to play Centre.

We have 1 full back and are desperate for another. Dagger is also a bit of a utility.

I’d like to think we can look long term…but in the situation in which we find ourselves we have to try to do something to assist with the fullback position.

It’s a move that smacks of desperation, but unfortunately that is the position in which we find ourselves we have to do anything to look after the now the 2023 season we cannot realistically look longer term than that.

Very depressing the whole thing though.

Cant help but think that this looks like a panic decision.

As much as I disagree with this move. the logic is we are covered at centre better than FB. Lyne, Gaskell won't be of interest to HKR but Hall clearly would be. We don't have a great hand so are liable to get bent over.

Take some shorts and hope to get a tan, the rugby wont be worth going to.

Of last seasons players, only Hall and Murphy were consistent throughout the season and we've given the lad to KR
After Kay went well v Salford, why the chuff didn't we leave him at FB.

Couldn't we have shown some ambition and got Dagger without swapping him for our best potential player?

With Murphy already on his way, we have just give away our next best young player.
Sorry but, its a shocker, absolute shocker.

This looks like KR have said "well who do you have, how about we take Hall" and we've been stitched up.
It almost feels like we've been scammed.

How?

We're not in the driving seat, we need a fullback KR don't need to help us, we enquire as to the availability. KR come back with a counter offer.

I'm guessing that Dagger wasn't available as a loan option then ??

Dagger is available / dispensable at KR hence why he's coming here.

He's agreed to play for us by the sounds of it.

So surely there is a deal to be had? And by that I mean us paying a small fee to aquire Dagger? As opposed to us offering 1 of our best players

I'd have rather kept Hall and gone with Kay at fullback with Hood & Bowes as first choice hooking options. Jowitt will be back in 7 or 8 weeks anyway and Dagger will likely be relegated to back up. We've been done good and proper.
