Someone's quivering in their pants by the looks of it relegation beckoning, also he needs to make sure he doesn't stand near the floodlights if he gets the chance to watch any games

This
Always said the same that’s why some are obsessed. Decent sized City more potential than many RL clubs but held back by stadium, sort stadium out and we keep progressing which scares the life of some other clubs fans.

Yup.
It’s a frightening thought for them.
1, no whipping boy to pick on when they are having a bad day.
2, a club that if run well could genuinely threaten the status quo.
3, a resurgent heartland club inconveniently ruining their delusional nonsense about spreading the game to big cities where nobody actually gives a stuff.
To ruby or Steph or whatever the little troll is calling himself today it’s a chuffin nightmare scenario.

| I wonder how many, superleague atleast, clubs actually own their own ground?
Most seem to rent from a local authority or are second class citizens to a football club.

That's a big question and it's not that simple.
Wigan for example doesn't own a single part of the JJB as far as I can tell.
Hull and Hudds supposedly own a stake but you can never be sure whether that's the actual club or the company/person that owns the club.
Leeds own Headingley in the sense that they are owned by the company that does, Caddick and co.
Not sure about Saints and Salford.
HKR and Trinity own the ground in name but in truth both belong to the banks. I assume Cas are the same.
In truth, no club actually owns its own ground since the move from members clubs to limited companies. As most Ltd companies are made up of a small group of shareholders, effectively they own the ground, Whether they constitute what we call the club nobodies ever really sure.
We are probably are close.

I don't belive Leeds do own there ground or Caddicks, infact I think they are quite away from owning it, I belive Leeds city Council now rent it from some investment/legal business and under let it to the cricket, RL and RU club, that's my understanding of it.

You could be right, the waters have become very muddied.
What really matters is what actually constitutes ‘the club’. We all use the term but these days imo the club is more of a brand and or historical reference point than a tangible thing, though it is the only truly permanent thing. The business on the other hand is fluid and as the club has no shareholder outside of the owners it is effectively the sole preserve of those people who can do what they wish without consultation.
I’m not denying MC is doing this for any other reason than a genuine desire to resurrect the club but he is not the club he is the owner, not the same.
I may be wrong about the shareholders but as we’ve never had AGM in years I assume there aren’t any. Going slightly OT it does surprise me that the club ie MC has never tried to raise money through a share offer. Maybe there is some technical reason why not, I’m no accountant but I’d buy a couple of hundred pounds worth.

Leeds Headingley Stadium formally owned by Leeds C.F&A Co.Ltd.[Paul Caddick] is now owned by Yorkshire CCC, who jointly manage it with Leeds Rugby Ltd.[joint venture between the two rugby clubs Leeds Rhinos & Leeds Tykes RU.]
I think this new Company borrowed something like £37 million to finance new stands / ground improvements , isn't it called Headingley / Emerald Stadium now?
whether Paul Caddick is still in the mix somehow, i have no idea, but i would think he is.
