Only BJB, Kopczak & Gwaze are out of contract, the rest would need some wheeling & dealing to move on. It’s not impossible but given we will hardly have pots of spare cash lying round for paying people of or subsidising wages this year then it won’t be easy.

Would be upset to see TJ go. Such an exciting player. I know players have a short shelf life and he needs to think about his future, but he is such a star. Hope we can hang on to him.

I'm not sure what value clubs would place on TJ.
He is absolute world class player but he's had two major layoffs with knee injuries and others on top if that.
No club in NRL need him that badly and I'm not sure who in Super League would take the risk unless his contract ws up.
All of which works in our favour until his contract is up.

Don’t agree regards the injuries, don’t think clubs view it that way.

Also and I’m sure some expert on here will tell me otherwise but I’m sure I’ve read somewhere that these ACL repairs if they go well are better than new.

Also Toms ability to score tries that really aren’t on gives him great value in any league,

I don’t know but especially after Canberra’s recent success with English players I reckon their will be a few bidders.

I suppose it depends on the deal and what the player wants but I’m sure these things can be achieved.

I think Chester said he wants 4 or 5 new faces, for that to happen I reckon it needs at least the same going the other way.

I wouldn't say better than new, but the recovery and success rate following an op - or ops in TJ's case - is excellent.

I'd hope we can make it work to keep BJB and Gwaze. Green isn't that old is he? 30/31? Especially for a prop. That said I'm not sure we've seen the best of him to say the least.
Can't see where Gigot fits into this squad but unless someone wants to take him off our hands then I imagine he'll be here next year. Walker i'm not convinced about and surely he's behind Jowitt and Hampshire at full back and if BJB stays he can always cover there if we have injuries. Again not sure what deal we gave him?

I base it on what I’ve heard but as is the way opinions seem to differ. Also my son broke his ankle a few years back and had a plate put in. The surgeon said he’d never break it again and he wasn’t joking. He was right but similar to TJ he did manage fracture his other ankle! Didn’t need a plate this time though.

We apparently looking to do a swap for Battye which if I was guessing would be Walker. The statement regarding the importance of KT came from Chester, let’s hope he remembers that he is a second row not a prop.
We are still in the entertainment business, I know it’s hard to always remember this, therefore you need players who bring the crowds in and Johnson and Fifita are two. I was wondering if the lack of crowds actually effects some players like Fifita who we know thrives when the supporters are cheering him.
With regards players out of contract I still think BJB deserves another season, Green we have decided to move on and I wonder if Kopczak will end up at Leigh. I also thought our French prop and the one from Halifax would not be with us next season.

Perhaps the addition of a 12th club at such short notice will play into our hand. Whoever it is, they will be desperate for some SL standard fringe players to boost their squad and we may get the opportunity to offload a few that are surplus to requirements.

With Hull KR offloading 11 of their 1st team squad they too will be looking for replacements.
