| Quote: Eastern Wildcat "As well as it pains me to say it, our dear neighbours are playing well, they didnt look unbeatable the other night.
As for the depth of their squad, I have doubts of their quality here, and I think the friendly against them proved that'"
A second half which consisted of a team of our Under 19s plus Chase and a spell of 1 or 2 others doesn't really prove anything other than that you played well when we had about 13 first teamers off the pitch. Which isn't going to happen unless we suffer an injury crisis of epic proportions this season, and certainly not before Friday.
If we take the first half, we wiped the floor with you, when it was our first team.

Plus from a Cas angle, I doubt powell will make too many changes over easter, chase may play longer minutes, Webster and Monaghan may play 1 game each and the bench may start the second game and springer may play longer but I really don't envisage us using the majority of players Fully suggested.'"
Interesting piece with Lynch in paper today, where he explained that Powell has said he will give everyone a rest at some point and that's why he has sat out. Doesn't want anyone playing 35 games.
That's why I think we will see changes if we win on Friday. Definitely think that all our main first teamers will see action across the weekend.

He's sitting out as for me he offers the least out of anyone in our pack and is out of form. I'm sure at some stage the odd player will be rested here and there but at the very most I reckon 3/4 changes for the second easter game. The plus side is we have a great squad of 19/20 are all involved, the rest on DR or injured. No oneed sat on the sidelines with splinters in their arris'

| They do dont they Big Lads Mate.
They also seem to forget we played several kids in that 2nd half too. At the end of the day the likes of Max and TJ are still kids themselves.
Didnt Batch get on the scoresheet too.

| You can read absolutely nothing into that second half in the friendly and trying to make out as if it proves anything is ridiculously small time. They battered us first half and then took most of their players off.
If I had to choose I reckon five of our lads would get in their 17, those being Huby, Fifita, Ashurst and our wingers (I reckon Johnstone would probably have 15+ tries this season if he played for them). Arona wouldn't be far off either. Big issue is that their pivots are much better than ours. We're definitely capable of winning but it'll take pretty much our entire 17 to be on top form and a few of theirs to have poor games (or the ref to have a shocker in our favour).

| Quote: matt_casfan "Finally some sense (your 1st para).
I am curious to know though who Fifita and Ashurst would get into our squad for?
I cant see Ashurst being picked over any of our 2nd rowers Mcmeeken Jesse or Oli Holmes.
Likewise I cant see Fifita being picked over Moors Millington Lynch Springer and co.
Huby and Johnstone theres definitley room for. Bjb not a cat in hells chance 1st 17 - altough I would have him over Monaghan as back up.'"
If I had to pick a 17 out of the two squads I would probably go with:
Hardaker
BJB
Webster
Shenton
Johnstone
Roberts
Gale
Huby
McShane
Moors
Ashurst
McMeeken
Milner
Chase
Fifita
Sene-Lefao
Millington
I think your wingers are good, but a lot of the tries they score are down to the fact that you've got the best halfs and full back combo in the league and your centres are better whereas if you look at some of the tries our wingers are scoring they're amazing solo efforts as they're not receiving anywhere the same amount of quality ball as yours do. Put both our wingers in your team and I think they'd both outscore Eden and Minikin (although Minikin looks like he's gonna be a very good player and potentially better than BJB, but not just yet). Ashurst is quality as well and I'd personally rather have him than Holmes, probably our best forward, very good defensively but again he just doesn't get enough good ball from our halfbacks in attack. Runs very good lines but mostly just gets hospital passes from Miller followed by being smashed by some onrushing defenders. Fifita and Huby, pretty self explanatory, both are excellent props, lots of metres, great defensively, lots of tackle busts, Fifita also looks to have an excellent knack at milking penalties. I bet Huby regrets leaving Cas for Huddersfield now though, especially as his style of play would be perfect for your team now. I think it's close between Arona and Milner too, but I'm biased towards Milner since he's from Stanley.

Can't wait. Hope Fifita rocks them around a bit would be good if England back and fit to give us real fire power up front.

| This Cas love in/appreciation is getting a little bit vomit inducing. You don't see either Hull supporters lick the rival's team behinds as much

Funny how according to you it's "vomit inducing" to give your rivals any kind of praise yet you spend pretty much all your time on here absolutely tearing our players to shreds.
