| I once visited a safari park, excited to see the big cats.
As I approached the Tiger enclosure I noticed a huge male stood right next to the fence adjacent to the path. He waited there looking at me and as I reached the enclosure we both stood for a minute just 2m apart and looked at each other. He was big with superb markings he was in his prime and seemed powerfull yet somehow dignified!
As I started to walk he followed, keeping pace just beside me, matching my footsteps, when I stopped he stopped and then we moved on together. I kept my eyes on him and occasionally he glanced my way, we strode, heads up, shoulders high the two of us were like one. I mused as we walked, I thought "he senses me, the real me, he knows I'm a good person and he feels my pride, he respects my strength such that it is and he respect me".
In that moment I thought I was special and could go on to achieve anything!
On reflection, I know the Tiger was glancing at me and thinking
"As soon as this fence is out of the way I'm going to rip your throat out and eat you alive"
I've tried to convince myself that that wasn't the case, it's been hard to let go of the notion that we were kindrid in some way but deep down I know the truth.
True story by the way

Not for me....I'm not in the least bit interested in Cas's new stadium, I'm interested in Newmarket, the re invention of Belle vue, are the BOI willing to sell BV? Has Super Bowl been sold? Yorkcourt's take on all this? These things are much higher on my agenda than Cas.

| Quote: The Avenger "I'll tell you where Laterals conscience resides, somewhere within their metaphorical wallet.
They, like YorkCourt Properties will take, accept, plead and support for as long as it takes to get their planning permission, at which point the cost of building a stadium will be like salt on their tongue.
Those drawing up the contracts and legal papers had better do a bang up job because without a shadow of a doubt, Lateral will delay and delay while they do their very best to mitigate the cost of the stadium away.
Developers like Yourkcourt are like leaches, they're parasitic and will bleed their host dry to enrich themselves.
Good Luck'"
I have a sneaky feeling that this time Box & Co. at the council will ensure it is watertight and not give them any room for manoeuvre. And the difference this time is i believe it is written so the stadium has to be built and operational before any other construction takes place so if it doesn't happen then Lateral don't get paid. I reckon the only thing that will stop it happening quickly is it either getting called in, which i doubt, or possibly the lack of a supermarket signing up to the scheme which is maybe more likely.

| So, are Lateral gonna pay/build upfront in the hopes that a supermarket and other outlets are gonna join in later?

Highly unlikely! They'll be a clause somewhere that says construction won't start until the contracts are signed hence i said thats probably the one thing that could prevent the development getting moving. They'll be expressions of interest no doubt but until they sign up it will always be the fly in the ointment.

| You can rest assured that everything will be 'watertight'.
The Castleford 'mafia' councillors will ensure that.
Never believed Box and his cohorts were fully committed to the Newmarket project.
This is the one they really want for both the rugby club and Castleford area.
I would even vote for candidates with whom I have no political sympathies if I thought there was a democratic chance of ousting them!

Even I think moving to Glasshoughton, which is very much in Castleford, would be a move that would lead to the ultimate death of WTW.
However, you would first have to convince Castleford to give up the Freehold (or give half of it away at least) to this new proposed ground, which is of course very unlikely to happen. This is not a community stadium project, despite what it might have been called in the press. The planning documentation is clear, the Freehold of the stadium has to be transferred to Castleford Tigers prior to the occupation of any other part of the site.
So, there is no option to share anything, you would only ever be a paying tenant.
I have given up trying to predict whether things will called in for a PI or not, so only time will tell, it will depend on whether anyone with 'clout' writes to the SoS office and objects and are able to make seemingly valid enough arguments for a PI.
I think it probably will be handed back and they will start on the open-cast mining this summer and then after the back-filling, muck-shift and retaining wall build, the construction will start on the site in early 2016, with the ground being ready for the start of the 2017 season.

Yes and it clear planning the stadium must be built first and nothing else can be built till the the stadium handed over.

You go on about about our councillors but I have to say a confessed a wakie fan who voting on the council yesterday seamed very keen for it to pass the project I was in there yesterday and thought he was going to be very hard work but to his credit he was very surpotive.
