| Anyone considered that Sykes could be the problem here? He gets the ball and gets tackled or throws an outrageous pass to the floor. HE IS NOT A HALF BACK, he offers zero creativity. Stop playing him there Agar, bite the bullet, admit it's a mistake. You're driving me mad.

| Quote: upthecats "As far as I could see there was a good 20-25 minutes left when Siejka was taken pff and Godinet was put in the halves....and we didnt look any different to what we had before....
Was a disappointing game after what I thought was a decent opening half hour....we then went back to the old feeling sorry for ourselves in a crazy 7 minute spell conceding 3 tries and that was basically game over....didnt see any of our players giving in...we just werent good enough....
Prop forwards catching the ball stood still all day long...we are never gonna get on the front foot and cause teams problems playing like that...'"
Siejka should have been off at half time.
The reason why there was no change after Siejka was taken of, is that the game was gone at 24-0.
Chasing the game leads to more mistakes and penalties.
If this is what you class as acceptable, then your expectations have hit a blinded all time low.

| To be honest I thought we made Warrington look good in spells and that's not saying we played well.As for Smith that's another Agar call no one understands but the man himself.Richard Moore only knows one way to play and that's to give his all and well earned his mom today.

In fairness although I don't hide the fact I am pro the club and shown plenty of backing for them, I have also stated in various threads the players haven't been good enough on enough occasions, Agar has made decisions I wouldn't have made and that I won't agree with all the decisions the club makes. Although you Imply I will defend every decision anyone at the club makes I won't & don't. But I am definitely on their side, if that's your point..
As regards Smith I don't know why he has been sent on duel reg. I have been away and missed today's game. In previous games (not that I have seen them all) I feel he has gone well. I like him and think he has great potential. He's no Amor yet but I hope he will develop along similar lines. The whole forwards have been inconsistent this year and that has been a big problem for us. As I don't know the reason or thoughts behind it so I can't say whether I think it's fair or not what's happened to Smith.

Smith & Raleigh were not injured, just not selected. Our coach thought playing 3 proprs and Annakin out of position was a better move.

I wonder if our coach was managing his squad, resting key players for the Bradford game?

Recharge his batteries for a while in a less physically taxing division then bring him back refreshed and ready to go'"
Go to spec savers - he more than big enough, jeez.
He is however young and possibly in need of a rest but not a duel reg.
I really think this is beyond all logic, this is deliberate sabotage.

Well Bren you may be correct. However I thought once out on dual reg that's it for a month and there is no recall option, but I could be wrong.

If that was the case i'd understand it but sending Smith to play for fev isn't resting him and surely Raleigh hardly needs resting, he's hardly played?

Vasty, you claim to know the game,
Smith is a young PROP FORWARD and whilst he's a big bloke in his civvies and certainly not small for a pro RL player he isn't big for a PROP FORWARD and gives away weight (by that I mean muscle) in the majority of the collisions he's in.
Before you tell me that he's been playing at Loose Forward, I know, but he's still taking the ball up as a prop would.
In the next couple of years he'll get closer to having the physical maturity and muscle mass that his opposition enjoy.
All I'm suggesting is that over a sustained period of games he's started feeling the cumulative effects on his body and perhaps needed some respite without actually being inactive for a week or two.
Not really beyond logic!

Yup.
He's big enough and when he's reached his full body mass he'll be a handful - but for new he's still young both physically and mentally. Hence his size isn't the issue IMHO it's his age.

Splitting hairs a bit that, he isn't big enough because he hasn't matured yet or because he hasn't matured he isn't big enough yet
99% of the time they're naturally linked
