if it was the NRL then he woulkd of been sacked'"
You're right I don't sing songs and didn't tonight but respecting THAT particular player was nowhere on my agenda tonight!
Leons Parents & Family - RESPECT
The Supporters tonight (All of them)- RESPECT
The Club - RESPECT
Sky's Contribution - RESPECT
All those posting messages of support on here - RESPECT
Got to agree if it'd have been the NRL it'd be bye bye!!

| i was a little annoyed at the guy who interviews the man of the match at the end of the game(his names deserted me) when talkin to leon pryce at the end of the game said a troubled week for you leon or something along those lines.bugged me a little.maybe has been a troubled week for leon but putting into perspective compared to how the weeks gone for all involved with wakefield, dont come close.

To be fair Adam, you do tend to be part to the Arsene Wenger 'I never saw it / heard it bridage'......
In terms of the prformance, I thought it was our worst of the year, but to be fair the front row was down to (less than) the bare bones, so we were never going to be able to build any sort of platform.
On a positive note, I am very proud of my club tonight, the tribute to Leon was suberb, hats off to SKY also

Not appropriate for that tonight I'm afriad. Even the muppets in the South Stand at Headingley were in a similar mode as well.

| Whatever Pryce has done was irrelevant tonight, it was all about respect.
He was a joy to watch on the pitch with a masterful performance and he came across as a true gent in his after match interview.
That earned my respect tonight.

I left Prycey alone last night and did not mention his "faults" but i don't have any respect for him at all, is that ok with you.
I don't have any respect for that useless French ref either but there you go, like Thor says you need to earn it and not be given it.

| Why were you all singing "going down, going down, going down"? You do know you are safe this season dont you because there is no relegation?

I concur.
Don't disagree Mutts but sometimes fans react in the wrong way at the wrong time and the guy is not doing himself and favours is he.
Would have been better offering support to our players than having a go at LP, but as i say feelings running high sometimes cause people to speak out of turn.
For the record i did not get involved but was stood in the area and if a had a problem last night it would have been the so called fans that left early.

| As a viewer watching the game on Sky i was embarassed for your club by the antics of a minority of your supporters with their idiotic chants directed at Pryce. The chants could be clearly heard on the TV and spoiled a night of respect for a young lad who had lost his life a few days before.I hope these idiots are proud of themselves this morning.

How silly will those Wakefield fans feel now, after watching his superb post match Interview

You always get a small minority of fans who will cause problems, or say inappropriate things no matter which club they support, or what has happened recently.
But lets not let that distract from the fact the vast majority of fans from both clubs last night showed how wonderful our game is and came together to try to help Wakefield and Leon Walkers family through this difficult time.

| Maybe 'respect' was the wrong word to use. It just angered me, that after a week when a lot of goodwill has been given to our club and supporters, we have a few mindless idiots who try to ruin things.
It's a shame that those few didn't read the excellent post by Barry Clegg on the VT - rlhttps://forums.rlfans.com/viewtopic.php?t - nothing to do with how a player acts off the field, respect purely for their efforts on the field.
If anything, it was counter-productive, wasn't it?
Thankfully, I'm sure most will see them just as the idiots they are, and that the true Wakefield supporters wouldn't stoop to that level.

Exactly, why we have to focus on this i don't know, the fact is that fans will come on here and make comment have very little idea of "how its been" and how wakey fans have been affected by the past 6 months (yes its affected many fans in different ways and if you have not been involved in the tragic events at first hand then you should really try to understand those that have) yes some were out of order last night but 99% have been a credit to the game.
If fans come on here and try to score points we will take as disrespect and deal with it how we see fit. no problem with any debate god or bad but lets not bogged down please.

40218_1286737075.jpg Success is not final; failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. (Winston Churchill):d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_40218.jpg |

| Quote: Thor-Dale "Sorry but I've always said respect has to be earned - and being done for assault, not once but twice is not anything that gains my respect. '"
Do you know what a charge of assault means? It can mean anything from a shove to a punch across the face. People talk like he has murdered someone when all he may have done is give the other bloke a push. The other charge was dropped due to the prosecution bringing no evidence. So maybe people should think first before condemning him? I thought he handled his post match interview very well indeed, redirecting the line of questioning from himself to the real issue of the night.
I also heard the chanting on the TV. No respect to the Wakey fans for that. It was inappropriate, given what had happened this week.
But otherwise I thought the game was a tough one to watch and no doubt for both teams a tough one to play. John Kear was evidently just relieved the whole thing was over - he confessed as much - and everyone watching knows very well that the Wakey we saw last night was not the usual Wakey. It must have been hard for the Saints players to know how to pitch things but I'm sure they all realise too that on another day at another time it's likely they would have been kicked to death in the manner of that opener by Brough (I think it was), which was a genius of a kick.
