| Do you think for one second that Sir Rodders would have parted with his hard earned without certain assurances from the highest echelons within the game?
No me neither......

I was thinking along the same lines, but I didn't want to stir up the hornets nest again...

| Quote braytontiger="braytontiger"i think we all know that the rfl will shaft either cas or youselves at the next round of franchises, for me it would be criminal if an heartlands club was to be sacrifised for a club that has twice gone under in the space of 14 months had 6 players deported and cast aside all its local players in favour of overseas cast offs.
what can we do ? well we could sit back and take the 50/50 chance that you hope its not your club that will go or show the rfl that you care and let them know what we really think of their fantasy league they are trying to create.what better opportunity than millenium magic to stand side by side and peacefully show our disgust at the way the rfl think that they can scrape us off their shoe like dog muck.'"
I would stand side by side with cas supporters cos all this =#FF0000STINKS big time. Get rid of this franchise crap and bring back P & R on a level playing field then we all know where we stand

We'd be on the same uneven playing field though, because do you think for a moment that the RFL would allow Crusaders to start a season with a six-point deduction if there was relegation?
I think there are more legal shenanigans to come though, because is it so easy to close one company down, start another one, but operate from the same place, doing the same thing, with employees acting under the same contracts of employment? I'm not sure this story is done yet.

| 1) sir rodders isn't an idiot
2) re millenium weekend, perhaps supporters leaving the stadium ( thus empty) might prove a point, basicaly neutral fans have a free ticket for the day so it wouldn't cost them.

didn't see this rule change coming to light when you guys were having problems with the tax man, am I cynical in thinking this is all for the benefit of the crusaders????'"
Perhaps, but as it says a number of clubs may find themselves in a spot of bother with regards to back dated image right payments. At least it's filtering out now rather than rival supporters thinking its just Trinity fans making excuses for their tax bill.

Seems ironic after the all the flack our club has to take from other supporters over the tax bill that all along we were really fighting every other clubs corner. It's seems some in power are expecting some more clubs in the brown stuff over this image rights thing. If other clubs do have to go into administration and take the easy way out, we should be credited for doing it right.
What does seem wrong is that if Crusaders know they are going into administration how can they justify continuing to spend? Surly there most some legal issues with this?

| ask yourselves this question - if crusaders hadn't gone belly up do you think the rfl would have sat back and let the image rights issue run it's course????? we will never know. What is to stop other clubs going into administration to avoid there tax obligations thus leaving their creditors high and dry.
I just think the powers that be are using this as a way of ensuring crusaders can have a license next time round, and don't get me wrong i am not having a go at the crusaders I am having a go at the RFL who move the goal posts when it suits - and who gave a license to a club who were still developing and pushed them into superleague to make sky sports and the then owner happy. Their actions have brought the team to its knees and brought the reputation of rugby league into the lime light.
I left to wonder if you guys would have been given the same assistance if you hadn't resolved your issue.
