| Yes I may well have been picky, but really apart from number 1, I think a bit of thinking, perhaps outside of the box, changes could be made to help remedy the others. Until we either get positive news regardimg Newmarket or a proper renovation for Belle Vue, issue 1 wont get resolved.
Issues 2 and 4 could be resolved with a mini season ticket, to try to entice fans back, especially if we get off to a reasonanle start and also for those with other commitments who cant make all games.
Issue 3 could be eased by reviewing the pricing of the package, but not neccesarily to the realms of the Huddersfield prices. Maybe even to include a shirt.
Issue 4 could be resolved just by a bit of better advertising and also studying if certain areas of the city dont buy into the club. If any areas are identified, get flyers into homes shops etc and get tbe community department to go round to that local school.
Finally, regarding the beer, compare suppliers prices etc. I do know of a very passionate Wakefield supporter who is a member of CAMRA. If you coud get the beer right then potentially Cats bar could be operational 7 days a week.

Off the top of me head I could name you about 40 passionate Trin fans' what are just as passionate about their beer as they are the club, whether that diminishes their entitlement to an opinion because they're not members of camra I don't know.
What I do know or at least imagine I know, is that brewers' don't brew bad beer, they don't brew quality beer for a selected few and rubbish for others. The presentation of the product is the key element here and is purely down to the publican to keep the product up to the required standard, maybe those in charge at Bellevue should look towards this and make a start with the pumps, just a thought.

| Good point there Chissitt abouth the pumps.
Maybe even more experienced bar staff. Pulling a decent pint is quite an art and unfortunately a dying one too.
Just thinking back a few years now as to the amount of players ran pubs, Brian Lockwood comes to mind and a lot of the ex Hull KR players of their good 80s era also ran pubs

It's everything to do with the pumps, most landlords/stewards will clean out their lines at least once a week, failure to do so results in a poor pint irrespective of whose pulling it.
Maybe whoever is in charge of the bars are choosing to ignore this because of the cost or maybe just ignorant of the procedure who knows,

| Worked a RAF bar for about 3 years and for me it's the cleaning of the pipes, we only opened 2 nights a week so cleaned the pipes in between each opening and we never had complaints. People will not drink from dirty pipes for long, the pain the following day is simply not worth it, that and the fact it is coming in a plastic pot it just will never do well

| Come on Vasty, signing Thurston, back to the real world. That even beats my comments regarding Fifita and Graham.
They were out of our price bracket, and if the Zero Tackle website is accurate regarding salary cap values, then Thurstones value is nearly double that of Graham.or Fifita.
I dont think any SL club would have any serious wiggle room without having a detrimental impact of their squad or exceeding the cap.
Overall, with our budget and season ticket sales, I think we have a good squad.
There was never going to be a massive turnover as Chester seems pretty happpy with what he had. We have added speed, size and a bit of depth in the pivotal positions.
IMO, Miller is a good player and is still learning. We have just told the team who finished top to do one when they approached to sign him. He is teaming up with an NRL half back who just cant get regular game time. Hes atbthe prime of his career and probably just wants to kick start it now. I am really looking forward to seeing how this partnership pans out.

Brian still has a pub in Howden, he did have a house close to the Newmarket development but don't know if he still has.

You're going back some years there and as far as i can remember the shop never had a name but the lad who owned it was called Geoff. Bought my lads their first NRL shirts from there, one was the old maroon Manly shirt but can't remember the others.

| Quote vastman="vastman"Why.
Total myth I'm afraid.
Not one player we have signed falls into the superstar category that actually makes more people buy SL tickets - that needs to be a Thurstone or a Wally Lewis.
Your theory is even stranger considering you are backing Chester to fail an us being relegation fodder on the VT. Ditto you say Allgood is crap, think you have perception issues.
What it will do is encourage folk to pay on the day and IF we are successful especially at home then it will build season on season - the right way in other words.
I recon we could have doubled that if we'd have gone down the Hudds root but thankfully our Chairman values the product and won't initiate a policy that failed before when we sold 4000 at a loss.
1,200 is where I'd expect to be, I wish it was a lot more but I understand that the signing of players like Williams and Huby though good from a hard core fans POV will hardly set the city alight.
Funny or daftest thing is that the one players who's signing might have excited a few people is Tom Johnstone, but as we already have him and we certainly don't wish to spoil him there isn't much we can do.
If we have an even better season than last year then I think the 2017 season will be a more reliable indicator.'"
What's stranger is I've never said anything about you been relegation fodder on the VT what I've actually said is it wouldn't surprise me if Kear was in charge come the end of the season I've said you've recruited better than Widnes, Huddersfield, Salford and Leigh and I had an opinion on Allgood being someone who has actually watched every game he's played for the last 2 seasons he's ok nothing more and when I said I thought you would have sold more season tickets it's that you seem to be the most stable you've been for a few years now with good solid signings ( the days of superstar signings are long gone)

Yep, I must have been about 17 or 18 when I bought it.
Very slim fit now, even before slim fit was thought of!

My wife bought me a Cronulla Sharks shirt from there in about 1984/5 for training ... stood me in good stead as it helped me decide where to live and which team to support when we moved to Sydney in 2008.
