| I didn't care if we won by 1, 10 or 100 points........I was just happy with a win over another team around us.
We looked very glitchy and clunky at times.......BUT.........when it mattered, we got ourselves out of a hole with a few good plays.
Big Dave stepping up after Kelepi went off and some smart footwork and kicking from Lino. Westerman as ever led from the front.
Very proud & pleased.

Spot on. I don’t get why Trinity fans complain when we win. We are not a top team so all victories will be hard won, that’s the reality. Occasionally as per last week we will be on fire but most wins will be battles.
I think it’s some form of snobbery. Had we beaten Saints in the same way it would go down in history as an epic performance based purely on the opposition.
There are no ‘ugly’ wins, silly comment imo, all wins are beautiful as they all yield 2 precious points.

Stretch Armstrong wouldn’t have scored that I’m afraid ,and give Leigh some credit they defended really well and would have knocked him into next week ,did the right thing coming inside 100%. Knocking him is easy but he wasn’t the one letting Leigh March up field and break us up the middle every time and keeping them in the game .

Well we will have to beg to differ but I’ll have to take his word over yours I’m afraid.

| We got the two points.
That's all that mattered.
I think that the players put pressure on themselves with it being (no disrespect) Leigh - especially after last weeks performance where we teared Shudds a new one.
Thought they played well and could have won. They did only lose by 1 to wigan and run Saints close.

| Quote: vastman "I almost agree apart from a few unforced errors that were no there in previous weeks. Added to that the unfortunate Kershaw inability to score what would have been the killer try.
Otherwise we played well against a surprisingly free flowing Leigh, who offered far more than Hudds.'"
Excellent point

| Good old Calendar Sports! Showed a clip of a women's rugby league game, but not even a mention of the only Super League game of the weekend..... involving a local side as as well. You couldn't make it up>

| Quote: PopTart "Duffy going probably did make a difference but I do think that is a very small part compared to the ability of the players at Leigh.
They are no mugs and have played well without getting wins.
They had 2-3 players that were outstanding today. They just couldn't quite do it for the whole game.
I don't think we played that much worse than we did in the previous 2 games.
They shut our play down well and worked hard in a pack that was just outnumbered in size. Obviously we lost Kelepi which would have made a difference but Big Dave ultimately topped the balance as they found him difficult to handle.
I thought Mellor was top draw for them today.
Their right side caused us some problems until we started to get it under control.
A good win for us when we needed it.'"
Leigh did play well yes better than both ke and shudds did for me.they have wins in them for definate..so yes a good win and for me good come from behind too that will help i future games

| Very entertaining and competitive match. Could have gone either way. Leigh have unfortunately not given 100 percent effort in a lot of matches this season. When they do get stuck in, they do compete in the main. Wakefield scored some good tries and have some talented individuals. The Tierney and Mellor tries for Leigh were very good. Both teams gave their all. Will no doubt get shot down for this, but the crucial late Liam Kay try was not a try. However, well played and good luck for the rest of the season..

The late try was Mason, Liams Kayes try very much was a try and only you seem to think otherwise. You could say one of Leigh's tries came from a blatant forward pass but you didn't.

| The last try was a very good try by Mason Lino. He was a player I enjoyed watching in the NRL.Liam Kay was a crowd favourite for Leigh in the championship. His late crucial try on Sunday was prevented by Joe Mellor. As I said, enjoyed the match and well done on the victory. Sometimes things go for you. Sometimes they don't. Hey hoi and onto the next game for both of us.

On the footage it looked a try and both the touch judge and in goal judge both said try.
I'm sure they were closer to it than you - unless you were either of them, but then if you were, you wouldn't have given it.....
And you haven't mentioned the forward pass try that my mate would have caught on the west terrace had the player not caught it.

Top six 2005 - Trinity.: |
|
| Ok so I watched on trinity tv which had an angle behind the posts.
Liam Kay - definite try and to my surprise he got it Down before going over. I wasn’t sure at the game but was clear as day on the trinity tv angle.
The try where it was kicked ahead I thought it was a knock on on the our league and sky sports highlights angles. On the trinity tv angle behind sticks he clearly grounds the ball.
Angles are a funny thing but as far as the try’s go the officials got them right.
There were however some terrible inconsistencies throughout the game.
Arona getting pushed at marker by Leigh Player get six again. Couple minutes later Carbon copy Kershaw pushes Leigh marker and penalty Leigh.
Can understand why it’s absolutely infuriating for fans when some officials can’t seem to consistently apply the rules. It’s either the rules or officials that are the issue.
Liam hood lucky to still be on the pitch imo and how he managed to not get a ban. He must have some good dirt on the panel because Ashurst got 2 matches and there was no difference in the two.

I thought it was a great game and before the match didn't underestimate Leigh at all as there's some genuine quality in the team, tho I'm not sure why Nathan Peats isn't the starting 9
Elliott is a good fb and I liked Bell at 13...if Westy goes and Leigh do go down I'd like us to sign him...creative in attack and solid in D, just needs a bit more experience at SL level...talking of which I think it was our experience in tight mercy relegation 4 pointers & deciders that saw us through this game, when we needed to we found a way to win

| Agreed. Was a cracking match which could have easily gone either way. I see where you are coming from re Nathan Peats. You would think a former origin player must start for Leigh. However, Liam hood is our captain and to be honest is easily one of our best and most talented players. We will do well to hold onto him and may have to offer big money to do so. Plus, Leigh had zero prop forwards on the bench on Sunday. and were just about able to field seventeen men. Due to Peats being versatile,, he is often not operating at nine for us, but filling in wherever he can to help the team.
Nice to hear someone talking sense about Leigh. Several of our players have already been offered SL deals elsewhere for next year. We need troops back and to start giving 100 percent week in week out, rather than picking and choosing. and then we should be competitive. Wakefield did well to turn the corner and are now look a much more confident team. Hope Leigh can do the same.
