| Quote JINJER="JINJER"But we can't afford to offer players like this contracts, ideally we need players of this ilk still contracted to their respective teams so they can pay their contracts!'"
Might be an opportunity with FC to do just that. Moore wouldn't command much, and either through player sales or a revenue increase there will be room in the budget to recruit.

An injury prone quota player may not be that high up on the agenda, regardless of his quality when he plays.

| Quote jacques="jacques"I really like Aiton, but to say he would run rings round McCurrie, Belly and Billy is ridiculous.
Its the old chestnut of past v present, relevant to any sport.
The greats of the past fast forwarded to today would benefit from all of todays modern methods of development and been even better.
Or perhaps they may even have had that touch of individualism coached out of them.'"
Sadly your last sentence would certainly apply to McCurrie the biggest "off the cuff", and my favourite, hooker seen at Wakefield.
It's a travesty of the modern game that his style of individualism has all but coached out of the modern player;I watch junior rugby every week and it starts there.

| You can't have it both ways. When TT kicked through on tackle 4 or whatever it was I don't remember folk saying what a great idea it was.

You coulden't have blamed his awareness though just a bit to heavy on the boot and if it did come off we'd of been praising him. I hope he doesnt do anything this season that he doesnt have to do, such as trying to offload all the time etc.

| Quote asmadasa="asmadasa"Aiton following Amor, Tim Smith, Mariano,Wilkes, Cowling....
Hull KR dragging their feet over signing Cockayne, is it due to our well advertised financial plight that the longer they leave it the more chance they have of getting him for peanuts rather than £30,000 or financially are they 'creaking' as well?
Whatever is said on this forum Aiton has weaknesses as most players do but he is still one of the best hookers that Wakefield have had for a number of years and he will be badly missed in the middle of the park next season. Best of luck to him.
We now don't have a genuine hooker in the squad. Hopefully WTW manage this carefully and ensure that a revolving door announcement is made for Aiton with a reputable signing coming in such as Liam Hood with Wildie being re-signed.
We are not financially creaking my friend but as a hull kr fan I am just as frustrated over the cockayne saga dragging on and on but I trust our board to do in the best interests of hull kr.

I was aware of that Gotcha but I was referring to `future` monies paid to KH to come from the Rhinos.

| As someone already posted KR could be trying this in waiting until we say just take him in a free to get rid of wages. I hope we keep him as not the best player but a player who you would go to war with.

| If Aiton goes, of course it will be a big blow.
He's an import and can be replaced a lot easier than Amor.
For every Paul Aiton or Tim Smith you bring over, there is always another two or three waiting to be given a chance in Oz.
This is possibly the reason why Aiton is being allowed to move.
Would be more distraught if Kirmond went before any of our overseas.
