I'm fairly sure the ones who were applauding him were in the Wheldon End ??

31007_1580947500.jpg EVENTUALLY, WE'LL WIN SOMETHING, ,MAYBE, IF I'M STILL ALIVE THEN:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_31007.jpg |

| Superb performance. A couple more of them and we'll be okay.
I'm keeping an eye on the Saints performances. I fancy Salford against them on Sunday and I hope Cas get a bounce back next week. My rationale is that I want Saints to have something to play for in that last game if we are only two points clear (or on the same). If Wigan can stay on their tail and Saints have a couple of blips, we might get some help.
But it's in our hands now. More of that. Willie spoke very well and Miller was superb.

| The tactic that stood out to me was our relentless drives at McShane. We forced him to tackle himself out of the game. He had nothing left and he his a massive part of their attacking threat. Well done Willie

| Miller and Lino were spot on today. Great game from Jamie Shaul. The tries from Murphy and Big Dave were certainly out of the top drawer, especially the latter. Cory hall and Kershaw running the ball in like forwards. Great stuff lads, all of you.

I’ve been critical of Poching and rightly so imho.
I thought he got it right against Saints, certainly compared to previous weeks.
This week spot on.
A sensible team selection against a weakened Cas team. Good tactics but above all he got his substitutes spot on. It’s Pochings substitutions that have worried me all season, to the point that as someone who rarely questions coaches was in despair.
What I liked was that I suspect he played Dave for longer minutes than planned. In the past he would rigidly have spelled Dave but he was clearly up for it and he left him on.
I also think Battye has redound some of his form and Poching has used him well as an impact player.
He’s also finally found a purpose for Gaskell at last, he’s looked pretty useful of late. I think it’s where he belongs, he seems to manage far better at centre than anywhere else which I must admit has surprised me.
Finally Shaul may prove a key signing. You can tell when a player buys into the Trinity vibe of everybody hates us and we don’t care.
So we’ll done WP, you’ve held your nerve, can’t say I did.
It’s far from over and will probably go all the way now but that’s a huge improvement on where we were a few weeks ago when I felt it was really over this time.

| Was nice of Milky to greet Radford first after his interview while Willie looked on like the cuckold lover.

| Congrats guys, good win tonight and well deserved. We were very poor but you can only beat what’s in front of you and your lads did that and then some. Big Dave did look like he enjoyed us applauding his try when he walked back to the WRE - as someone has already said, there is a love/hate relationship there. Now, go and get another win or 2 so we can carry on the rivalry next year. Good luck with the rest of the season.

| Worth the wait?
No. 8 years of pain and ridicule has been horrendous.
But it's a good start, and it is such a relief to get that horrible losing streak over

I agree.
I look at it this way, eventually we would win.
What makes last night exceptional is the timing. If you’re going to break a hoodoo then doing it when your SL future is at stake makes it a far bigger event.
I was torn last night as to what gave me the most pleasure. The points or finally beating Cas. Obviously it’s the points but it’s still a massive bonus.

| Well worth the wait
I've been a critic of Willie, because until the Saints game, I couldn't understand our style of play or some team selections.
I now eat humble pie and am enjoying it! Well done WP and the players.
It's not over yet - can the same effort be put in against Catalans? After the last two games you'd have to consider we're good enough to turn them over at BV!
IF only that same effort had been there all season (as it has to be with 'good' clubs we'd be near the top not fighting relegation -again)
