Solomona at his peak was unplayable and had skills that I havent seen for anyone else in a Trinity shirt, so he would be my first choice.

I can’t see past Solomona, by far and away the most exciting import. Single handed lay turned us from perennial relegation fodder to top six in one season!

Also the only overseas player I can recall opposition fans being truly envious of.

Also won a WC medal whilst a Trinity player. Incredible player, he’d tranform this team from good to exceptional.

Wasn't Belly off Eastmoor? Could be classed as overseas I suppose.

Never forget the "hit" by Ray Price on that Cas savage (I've forgotten his name), that left him staggering around BV as if he'd just taken 15 pints on board.

Might be wrong but I think you might be mixing games up.

Ron Gibbs was the Cas player polaxed on Scrumdown staggering around like a drunk, think it may be on YouTube - pretty sure that wasn’t Price though, think it was an attempted tackle on Eden.

The tackle I think you may mean was at Fev on Boxing Day when Ray smashes Jeff Grayson who was even older than him - think the guy had been mouthing in the papers pre match. He was carried off the pitch if I recall.

Even though I wouldn't want to go back to the winter game, we've definitely lost something (apart from frostbite) since the change.

The Ronnie "Rambo" Gibbs collision with Phil Eden's hip was a classic moment (right up there with Johnny Tompson's "I like it hard"icon_wink.gif. The credits at the end of the programme replayed Gibbs staggering about with Wishing on a Star playing.

Maybe the old brain cells deteriorating Vasty, but I was convinced that it was Ray Price and a Cas player at Belle Vue.

I actually thought the same until somebody pointed me to that video on YouTube and let’s be fair on ourselves it was a long time ago.
