| Solid prop but not exceptional. If he's chasing money who can blame him? He has a family presumably so good luck to him.
Surely not that hard to replace.

| Well I don't think replacing him will be a problem. In fact if 5 he guy does not improve over the next couple of games he along with a few more should be dumped. He showed some good form round about the time M C said he knew of 2 squad members had signed contracts at other clubs for next season. Good luck to him and all the best .

Out of interest why is it an odd choice

I suppose as it stands, Wakey look a more attractive club, they have more chance of a top 8 finish, thus making sure of SL next year. Seems a sidewards move in reality and (if true) 5K and a commute, it doesn't seem worth it.
Not the type of signing to improve Rovers that much and 32 next season, On the other hand, although a gamble I think Kelly will be a cracking signing for Wakey, not sure he would work with Miller though as very similar type players.

After his unwarranted omission from the Cup Final team last season, I doubt Green would want to work under Chester again. He wants a gig down under and may be prepared to play reserve grade if it means he gets to go.

Agreed Kelly and miller are a simular type of players so would be one or the other not both together.

I wonder if Miller might leave at the end of the year if he can get an NRL deal, he was desperate to go back after Hull and nearly signed back for Wests. I wonder if his recent form has revived interest from an NRL club, thus the interest in Kelly.

| I would like us to try to tie diwn Miller for longer regardless as to whether Kelly comes or not.
Over the past 2 months or so, Miller is starting to show that he is more than just a support player.
Also, on Thursday Kelly showed that he is more than just a support player too.
If these two were in a partnership we will have two pacy and quality halves in tandem.
When was the last time we saw that at Belle Vue

| Scruton is really our forwards equivalent of Craig Hall. OK when we're on top or competing but soon throws the towel in when the going gets tough. Last weekend and especially the Catalans home game were good examples of him on a downer.
Always given the impression, off field, that he only came to Wakefield because there was no other option and has now jumped ship at the 1st reasonable opportunity.
Unless MC/CC know better maybe he should be released asap and replaced with a loan signing.

| Fully agree regarding Scruton, that he is OK when we are on top.
I also think that he should be realeased ASAP too, as it may have some downer on the rest of the team, and if not, we should now, when fit, be starting the game with our best two props in England and Simon, so that we can get on the front foot in games earlier, and if Scruton is to stay on to the end of the season, then he has to fight for one of the places on the bench with the other props

| Couldn't disagree more about Scruton.
He has been the hard working forward we have needed when others have been the crash bang guys.
He doesn't miss tackles. Even in the two games just gone he has been the only front rower making a bust.
And let's not forget the tackle against Salford that effectively swung the game for us.
If he leaves he leaves, but I'd be happy for him to stay.

| Could he be released as soon as Fafita arrives? A straight swap?

Totally agree with this. Typical hardworking prop who will have off days as we all do but he has put some effort in and scored some decent try's too

Exactly my point - given that he lives in Wakey and his wife works at the club, it seems an odd choice to commute to a club in much the same position for a measly 5 grand.
That said, if he wants out, it's not as if any of the 'big' clubs would be interested, so I guess his choices are limited.
