I guess it depends on what you count as "recent". If you look at the last 5 years including league and cup, then I have it 10-6 in our favour. But then I guess if you define that as astonishing then again fair enough. I guess you could go beyond 5 years, however, since Powell took over 6-2 Cas I think.

Didn’t read it properly did you - I said at Cas, which I believe is where we are playing you - I also believe those games are classed as derbies.
If I’d have meant Home, Away and Millennium Tragic I’d have said so.

| By my reckoning out of the last 9 at Wheldon Road it's 7-2 to us. It's almost like a home game, with the same probably true for Cas at Belle Vue.

| Really hoping that Hampshire does not play against us, bad enough worrying about Gale, Roberts and Dorn creating opportunities for their wingers but adding Hampshire in to mix would give any defence sleepless nights. Think most Cas plays involve Gale, not sure how to go about it but would like to think that we can give him less time than we gave Brown.

For me we should be looking to loan him out to a lower division side with a coach who can work with him as we cannot afford his mistakes.. The concern is that the obvious flaws in his game were evident when he was in our age group teams, so either the coaches were not good enough to improve him to correct standard or he does not have the ability. The obvious natural speed and ability he has in attack and his work ethic must mean we should work with him. As I say send him out to John Kear or another top coach for the season and see what we get back.'"
Potentially one of the most ridiculous things I've ever read. Everyone was calling for him to get the #2 shirt and was buzzing with hype when he signed a new deal & now because hes dropped a bit of confidence and made a few errors in pre season (As I'm yet to find one in the Widnes game) you want rid on loan? - To put who on the wing exactly?
Tom Johnstone is 20 who's been in SL since half way through last year.
Joe Burgess is 21, who's been in SL since 2013.
Dom Manfredi is 22 who's been in SL since 2013
And you can't really compare someone who comes through the Wakefield structure to the structure that Wigan have.
TJ will develop as the season goes and and the confidence builds. Like he did last year.

I seem to remember this time last year, at the jungle?? What was the score?

| Unless there are injuries i see no need for changes at this stage, the guys that played last week deserve another go. That one i might consider is bringing Simon back on the bench if he is fit, possibly for Molloy as i can't see Kirmond not playing unless he is at deaths door. The extra size and impact Simon gives would possibly be useful if the pitch is a little boggy.

He's written far worse but yes it's quite stunning I must admit - it's all for effect (I hope).

I said with Cas not at Cas - that means home, away and MM. Learn to read.
Excluding the recent friendly, the previous 6 games are: 1 win, 5 losses - 4 of which were drubbings.
That is quite frankly embarrassing - I'd love to see this astonishing record as well.
Face it Cas now have a hold over us just the way Huddersfield does.

But then don't forget the next two games where they altogether put 100+ points past us.

| You perform down lane so it will be a very close game. With us having 3/4 first choice players out you have a real chance to beat us again at our ground. 6 points in it eitherway I think.

| I posted earlier that the pass from Johnson was perfectly legitimate, the problem was BJB dropped it. Why drop a player who in our only first team game this season from what I saw did not miss a tackle, did not drop a ball and caught the only high kick that went his way. He is what many of you have been screaming for a young locally produced product and based on an incorrect assumption some are now looking to loan him out. I would say if you use Sunday as a yard stick that BJB would be the one to loan out.
I would say cut him some slack, we lost, it will not be the last time.

| If SL clubs loaned players out every time they made a mistake the Championship would be full of them.I know Tom well and trust me,it would have cut him up.So like what as been said, get off his back and let the lad deal with it as I know he will.He had the chance to move on but chose to stay at Wakey as others have done. It's a good job some of you don't get judged at work, because if you perform the same as you do on here you'd be at the job centre on Monday.
