| Fair enough, hope he sticks around. He certainly needs to up his game wherever he plays next though, he's in danger of letting an awful lot of talent go unfulfilled.

Agreed.
With that and his form last season i would like to keep hold of him, can you imagine those writing him off in a couple of seasons from now "we don't keep hold of our talent"

one concerning line in this is that richard moore is signed up intuil the end of the following season. ie 2011. bad times. unless he is released i doubt anyone will pay for him

I take it that's because of his illness, he has done well to get back playing and never steps back, I do feel for the guy having hit good form
he is now reaching the back end of his career at 30, not many top sides will want to take a risk on him

| I understand that Richard is to have an operation in the close season and if he is retained then I hope he comes back fitter and stronger etc

i appreciate this. and coming from a medical background... (allbeit a crrently student one) i can understand given his condition why he isnt the size he once was and that he has done remarkably well to get back to playing. i think this was shown when he came on against bradford on his return.
but, i think after this season, emotional ties need to be put to one side and you have to look at things realistically, and he isnt big enough to be a prop. he is constantly being pushed back. and he is throwing too many stupid offloads. on a positive note i think he would work as a running second row.... however, he still needs to be bigger than this year, and if he is having surgery, then i think his size and strength will be further put back.
he will be here next year i think due to his contract. but he shouldnt be playing prop.

but, i think he still needs to be bigger to play second row. speed isnt an issue (especially for a forward).
i reckon he could be a running second row... nowhere near solomona type player.... more a joel tomkins type runner. he will be running at smaller people like the half backs, centres, covering second rows. he will be more effective, might find it easier to offload, easier to make yards. think it could be good, but i do think this is all dependent on his size.... otherwise he will be thrown into touch too easily for my liking

| Didn't Sanctuary's blog earlier this season show Moore as the fastest over 60 metres?
I'd agree that second row might be a better option for him next season though - he hasn't been particularly impactful as a prop this season and some of that has to be down to size and strength.
