Depending on how much we have put aside for transfers i would offer around 80K, then if they think a deal might be close drop the price and offer Blaymire + cash.

IMO Smurf is a better FB.

If it is the same ex Bulldog guy I am thinking of then he's nowhere near the standard of Tronc. So we're letting quality go and bringing in far lower quality. Not a good sign.
Potential maybe but if it is the same guy I am thinking of, ex Bulldog prop then he's not even in the NRL at the moment and I believe he's only played around 12-15 NRL games in the last 3/4 seasons.
Somewhat of a backward step ALA Winterstein if you ask me.....
IMHO what the team and the club needs now more than ever is a huge BOOST. Something to get people back on board and excited. A new high profile signing could be just want is required IMHO......

| Leaeno is a very average, barely first grade NRL player. But a big bloke who will make some yards and create a bit of momentum...but not much else. Up to the rest of the team to make the most of it he definately wont fix anything on his own  |

2 Points:
1 Our club have a higher opinion of him than that.
2 I'd rather have a Charlie who wants to be here rather than a right Charlie that doesn't!

I just hope its not a
"it's the best we can do job at this moment" signing
and then sign him for a few years, as he may push that option as he may not want to travel half across the world for a few months.
As he imo won't do in the long term if were looking to progress again next year.
