Who plays nine yes.. But not to any significant standard!

Lomax has three plates in his head from a rugby injury when playing for his school. Of all our players he is least likely to play 'the dying swan'. He was in intensive care for a long time as a result of his head injury and having some of his skull removed will no doubt leave him vulnerable to head shots.'"
He sounds like an insurance nightmare!

Can accept anyone is vulnerable to head shots.
But when Lomax is slipping and his head is at waist height, what's a player to do?

| Old injury aside, Lomax milked that for all it was worth; it was football-esque.
Particularly galling when earlier, he'd left Riley down for 5 minutes before he even noticed, then totally ignored Lomax cynically taking out Godinet. To add insult to injury, none of the 3 officials saw Amor come off second best against Ryan, so come back with a massive swinging arm.

| I didn't have a problem with Lomax. It was a hard clash to the head and he need to be checked out.
Ali was concerned as well and made a point of waiting around and checking he was ok.
But at the end of the day he slipped over before the tackle. I thought he actually hit Ali's knee which could have been just as damaging the other way.
No need for a penalty at all. Over reaction from ref.

| Even more annoying was that Lomax took the ball in 2 tackles later - it was innocent by Ali.
The linesman did see the Amor swinging arm on Ryan, and came on - just too weak from him and Roby to do anything about it. Useless.

The same thing you do when burrow dives at the floor head first, get down lower or give away the penalty.
Saints, like every other team has their fair share of milkers (cough wheeler cough) but lomax has never been one of them, and will challenge for the quick play the ball whenever he can (it's one if the things that endeared him so greatly to the saints fans in a time of wheeler biscuit bones and sulk-a-lot eastmond) - to suggest he was milking it is just wrong.

+1 from me PopTart...it was right in front of me, and was yet another poor decision from the clueless Roby.

| It's always the refs fault whenever 'Trin' get beat isn't it?

| No it isn't Bruce "knowing it all" Forsyth.... all we ask for is a level playing field, and in the second half yesterday, that just didn't happen, and we weren't allowed to compete. If we had have been, we may still NOT have won, but it would have been nice to have been allowed the opportunity to find out !!!

| When there are saints fans nearby who are bemused as to why they're receiving penalties I'm sure you'll forgive us for being 'sour'
Penalties I can take, refs get them wrong, it's hard to get them all right, but as a viewer from the top floor boxes I can catagorically state that Kienhorst's try was not forward and Saint's 3rd was dead, you could even see where the ball went down on the line afterwards

| Nothing sour about it at all....its our 4th defeat out of six and the first time ive seen a large majority of our fans question the referee....of course every club will have a few who think every defeat is down to the ref......you can tell on this one it has some substance with the amount and the kind of posters who are saying it.....maybe its just hard for Saints fans to accept that they only started to gain any momentum and look the better team during the period we were getting pulled for anything and everything...?

| Hopefully the highlights will show the penalties prior to the try. Standing at the end it was hard to say whether they were justified or ‘soft’. I think the Dan Smith laying on was obvious, the penalty for laying on Masoe dubious, I couldn’t see the other infringements. What was soft was the resulting defence.

| Just watch the highlights. The saints try from the grubbed on the last tackle looked questionable and would gave gone to the video ref if televised. Anyone in the flats get a decent view. The players certainly seemed angry.
