Quote: pocket 4's "I think we also need to cover goalkicking options - Hall was probably our main kicker at the start of the year but was erratic after a good start (like the rest of his form) and the other options are Arundel, Miller and Finn. Not sure any of these are considered to be A+ goalkickers though. Its a bit of a weakness

Liking the recent signings though.'"

I think you'll find that Finn broke the world record whilst at Fev for most consecutive conversions - not bad for a player who you don't rate as a kicker icon_biggrin.gifOH:

Quote: PopTart "I thought Howarth was OK at 9 to be honest.

I don't like Sio at 13. It's ok as cover but our pack strength changed when we played Molloy and Simon in the back row and in particular when we played Simon at 13. Size matters to us and we have an abundance of big back rowers now. No point putting a smaller guy out of position in that spot.
As was pointed out Kirmond and Tupou run opposite sides of the field so will work well together. Molloy, Simon, Arona and maybe Annakin would all fit at 13 before Sio.'"

Possibly NRL Ex Cronulla Sharks player Arona will play at 13 from what's been said about him with Simon reverting to impact prop off the bench?

I'm 50-50 on Hall. I've said I'd like him in centre too but I'm thinking I'd start with Tupou in centre a let Hall prove his form.

I think Aruna can play 10 as well so maybe keep Simon at 13. I've liked him there this season.
Looks a good 17 though either way.

I'm gonna go slightly off piste with this one. I think some of you are underestimating Morris here and I'd be tempted if training and friendlies to start him. I know he's raw but so is Hall at centre, however he is very very enthusiastic and competitive and probably more athletic. If he is as potentially good as some suggest (bit of a hot property as a speculator) then as we all know backs can cement their place and reputation very quickly if they are as good as they appear.

Think we need to hit the ground running and although I except Halls mitigating injuries he will IMHO never be that kind of player. Also I feel he should have to wait his chance, he certainly shouldn't get any position by right especially one he was renowned at HKR for being not very good at.

I think we have one overseas spot left. Don't know if it's a quota spot or a NFT as I don't know the status of Tupou and Arona.

England will prob start for you he's better than scruton and Anderson, on our wire site, they are questioning why he was allowed to go?? Just doesn't make sense,, your pack is looking good,

I can't comment on Morris because I've never seen him play, but Hall appears to be the only centre we have capable of putting his winger away. It's not a problem for Tupou because he's strong enough to be used as a battering ram to help the forwards out where as Johnstone isn't. At least not yet. But he's got pace to burn and needs to be put in space, and Hall can do that for him. The only issue with playing them together would be the defence. Opponents would target them and I'm not sure Hall is someone you'd want protecting a young winger in those situations. Offensively though, no problems at all.

I bet Brian Smiths really grateful for all the inside information he can access from the site. Maybe one of you could compile a run down of players ability, strength s and weaknesses along with collar, shoe waist sizes. If you could also supply a mental and physical health statement that would be great. Dietary and training plans would be much

appreciated for individual players. Old school reports can prove very handy.
Some of you should really read back the utter tosh you write .

Luckily this is a fans forum and not a forum for professional coaches then isn't it. To be honest I'd not thought about Morris as he is one definitely under the radar. I'd absolutely love it if an unknown British prospect did a great job for us.
