I’m one of the ones who has been very appreciative of MCs involvement at Trinity… I really believe that without his acumen we would now be comparable to Oldham or Swinton as a club…!but there was no need whatsoever for him to respond to that Facebook post… really disappointed with that…

Almost seemed like a parting shot!

Quote: Eastern Wildcat "It would appear that while he is no longer a board member, MC has gone on social media, denying the links with Walmsley.

Surely now, this is nothing to do with him'"

What he said was that the club have not made an agreement with Walmsley and Fax… which is probably true as Ellis and his team don’t own the club yet and can’t officially negotiate on behalf of Trinity… but, in turn, Ellis said he and his team have been working in the background, ready for the takeover…

Well we won’t be signing Mata’utia. He’s just retired.

Just read that myself, good news IMO.

Also saying that Reece's move to Bradford is off so he could be staying.

I would be okay with Lyne staying providing the contract is adjusted somewhat. When he signed last he was in the England squad but hasn’t hit near that form for some time.

If he stays we need a big year from him. Guess we will see.

I don't think it's a good idea for him to do that but there's no reason why he can't.'"

I suppose it is a sign of his actual personality because it clearly bothers him that the supporters may actually see how a well funded club operates or why post about a possible signing. I hope he realises that he is no longer responsible for our signings because I am sure he gave up this job when he resigned.
We have endured several seasons of his brand of negativity so I think the supporters don’t need it, we deserve better and we now have that opportunity. I know it will take time for some on here to adjust to a positive experience supporting Trinity. I would say stick with it you might actually enjoy the experience.

Well that's made my weekend scarlet. Telling everyone to think positive when every point from you has been negative and slagging every body in the old regime off. May cone as a surprise to you but you have now caught everyone else up as we were already thinking positive.

I was negative about the incumbent and his post somewhat shows his personality. I am positive about Ellis it is those like you who will need to change to get use to how a well funded club is run. I hope it does not come as too much of a shock but give it time and then compare the experience of past and present.

In reply to PT please explain why a man who has avoided all attempts to post anything during the majority of the season feels it necessary to do this one about a signings for which he has no involvement.

I assume, but don't know, it's because he no longer has responsibility. He can post what he likes now.

It always baffles me though. I don't think you've ever met Carter and certainly can't say you know him personally.... but probably know Ellis even less.
But you seem to think one is the devil and one is the new messiah.
Let's just wait and see shall we. No point building Ellis up before he's started with false praise just so you can knock him down one he's the "present incumbent "

And a fully funded and well run club are not the same thing.

AND if Walmsley has signed, as you seem to think, the Carter did sign him.
Ellis can only agree to a deal. He can't sign anyone yet.

I have no idea if he has signed but it was not necessary for him to post what he did.
I make no excuse for my view on the incumbents based on the mess they made to the on field product. Why should I not feel optimistic about Ellis because the one thing he isn’t and that is MC.

Is Carter still currently acting as CEO until the deal goes through because if he is then he would know? Yes he resigned as a company director but the two don’t have to go hand in hand, you can be a CEO without being on the board.

All that said given his past record if he says we haven’t signed him then we probably have.

Scarlet, the club was run OK with funds they had. New stand , pitch , floodlights not too much in debt. Yes they did mess up on playing squad partly down to mc and partly down to lack of funds. What you do is condemn them all so this negative, while we understand what was achieved which mainly was positive.Yes the new owners appear to have money to take club further and we all hope this is the case so again we are thinking positive. So hopefully you can see our point of view . By the way I don't it is correct for mc to start using social media again if so.

The clubs never been run ok its been maintained on a shoe string because of the owners total lack of vision.
10 years to make an impact and revive the club with some foreword thinking instead of the stinking thinking he peddled for the last 7 years.
