Got a feeling the better players will be leaving and we will be left with the weaker older players. IF we keep same so called Coach and the players way past there sale date, can see it been a struggle to get to 3,000 supporters .The true fans have just seen one of the worst team at Wakefield ,the worst coach , The same fans did not asked for there money back when Covid came ,Mr Carter said it saved the club, How much more does this club expected from the fans with nothing back on the field to watch

Carter didn't say short term loan deals.

No issue or argument with that sentiment, but in relation to IMG grading, it is irrelevant.

Carter is in cloud cuckoo land if he thinks / hopes 3000 hardcore fans will turn up next year whilst in the same breath talking about using dual reg players. Just think about that for a moment. “We will be running a thread bare squad with a revolving door loan system to change the team every week just like this year and we still want you all to pay £27 to watch Dewsbury”.
The only way to get 3000 fans next year is to procure and operate a super league quality team with established player names. Similar to what Leigh have done - SL calibre player and SL calibre coach in the Championship. I’m convinced it’s the only way.
JM can’t be playing Moneyball with everything and fully control his ability to generate a first class product on the field that is worth paying for by the fans. Worth pointing out that the away fans won’t travel to see dross either - if we have something to watch, they will come. Otherwise, put simply, they won’t.

Agreed. Was really selfish of him to break his arm.
But seriously, I’d actually sell him if he is not already null and void. On balance, hasn’t been on the field enough in 4 years.
Saying that he’d probably be a worldy at another uk team but just not done it for us.

I didn't say it was his fault but he was out for the whole season and that cost us.
If he's fit then great. But he has to be fit.
He'll be what we need in Championship but I'd have Griffin and Pitts with Tanginoa coming off the bench.
But he'll be a free agent now so who knows.

Crying shame. I would doubt that his salary level would fit in with the JM Moneyball approach. Interesting to see where he will go because a lot of clubs have already committed their quota. Wigan wanted him at one point but they are committed, and Warrington.

| Tanginoa was outstanding at Leigh, his work rate, carries, metres, defence and his threat to the Leigh defensive line was something we’ve sadly missed. Like a couple of others have said, if there’s a way to keep him he’ll be a weapon in the Championship.

| I'd keep Jowitt, Kershaw, Pratt, Law, Croft and maybe Senior.
Dagger a definite yes
I assume Reece will retire not sure.
I'd keep Langi if his contract was appropriate but if he's dropping down a league I assume he'll do that in France.
I'm not overjoyed at Lino signing but it might work in a slower league. Gale I like but he's in twilight so it worries me if we only have these two.
Bowden I'd definitely keep as I would Whitbread of course but both are likely to have offers.
Battye not sure
Atoni and Proctor a firm no.
Not sure if Shaw and Windrow are ready. Would be nice if they were
Eseh will have offers I'm sure.
Pitts and Kay already signed
Ashurst is a maybe. Really have to have some younger blood
Crowther future is unclear but I assume he's leaving
Tanginoa and Griffin a yes (I've changed my maybe on Kelepi now)
Hooker is a dilemma. I'd prefer this to be our big signing but I think we've already signed Hood.
Because of this Bowes is a maybe

Similar to your reply to my post. I said I hadn't looked too deeply at the grading criteria and was making a general comment about our progress as a club.

No, you were asked directly how you thought you'd do on the grading.
You replied that you "hadn't looked into it too deeply" and went on the state that Glenn Morrison coming into the coaching set up was a coup.
You conflated the two unrelated, separate issues.
Hence my reply, but I guess yours was an ad hoc ramble, rather than a considered answer to the question itself. Fair do's.
And I did include a smiley to show I wasn't being chippy.

I replied out of politeness to a question, but I genuinely have little interest in predicting how we might score. However, the points are not unrelated as running an elite academy will help with future SL ambitions.
Good luck for 2024.

There are no points for who coaches the Academy team.
Or indeed First Team - which is a relief for us!
Thanks for the good luck wishes - I fear we may need some!

To be honest we are lucky that a clubs coaching setup is not part of the IMG criteria because ours would mean a 5 point deduction for its ineptitude and lack of ability to fulfil their role to coach a team. If they added the effectiveness of a club’s director of rugby we would struggle to get a B rating.

I reckon you'd be much happier supporting another club.
The pain you are in seems to consume you.
Look after your mental health and move on.
Try Leeds, they'll be wanting some replacement fans.
