Quote: PopTart "Duffy going probably did make a difference but I do think that is a very small part compared to the ability of the players at Leigh.
They are no mugs and have played well without getting wins.
They had 2-3 players that were outstanding today. They just couldn't quite do it for the whole game.

I don't think we played that much worse than we did in the previous 2 games.
They shut our play down well and worked hard in a pack that was just outnumbered in size. Obviously we lost Kelepi which would have made a difference but Big Dave ultimately topped the balance as they found him difficult to handle.

I thought Mellor was top draw for them today.
Their right side caused us some problems until we started to get it under control.

A good win for us when we needed it.'"

Totally disagree we should have beaten them a but easier, we coughed the ball up early in the tackle count on 5 occasions in the first half. We got about 8 plays from them and gave Leigh 30 plays. The mistakes really cost us in the first half and kept Leigh right in it for the second half. We have to cut down those mistakes, it was hardly a rainy day when one expects a few mistakes instead it was a perfect day for ball handling and we were not very good for part of the game.

I almost agree apart from a few unforced errors that were no there in previous weeks. Added to that the unfortunate Kershaw inability to score what would have been the killer try.

Otherwise we played well against a surprisingly free flowing Leigh, who offered far more than Hudds.

But that’s clearly wrong. Leigh under Duffy had similar results against Wigan to name but one. In fact they have not been easy beats for most of the season.

They played with marginally more enthusiasm perhaps but that’s all.

You were wrong to start with, then after a few minutes you couldn’t wait to gloat and then you looked silly by the end.

I stand by my point, you seem to get a perverse joy from negatives. I don’t get it because I’m convinced you’re a 100% genuine fan unlike some on here.

My mate who was stood near the south west flag doesn’t agree. Kershaw may not have made it but TJ and Kay would and there is your problem.

I didn't care if we won by 1, 10 or 100 points........I was just happy with a win over another team around us.

We looked very glitchy and clunky at times.......BUT.........when it mattered, we got ourselves out of a hole with a few good plays.

Big Dave stepping up after Kelepi went off and some smart footwork and kicking from Lino. Westerman as ever led from the front.

Very proud & pleased.

Spot on. I don’t get why Trinity fans complain when we win. We are not a top team so all victories will be hard won, that’s the reality. Occasionally as per last week we will be on fire but most wins will be battles.

I think it’s some form of snobbery. Had we beaten Saints in the same way it would go down in history as an epic performance based purely on the opposition.

There are no ‘ugly’ wins, silly comment imo, all wins are beautiful as they all yield 2 precious points.

Stretch Armstrong wouldn’t have scored that I’m afraid ,and give Leigh some credit they defended really well and would have knocked him into next week ,did the right thing coming inside 100%. Knocking him is easy but he wasn’t the one letting Leigh March up field and break us up the middle every time and keeping them in the game .

We got the two points.
That's all that mattered.
I think that the players put pressure on themselves with it being (no disrespect) Leigh - especially after last weeks performance where we teared Shudds a new one.
Thought they played well and could have won. They did only lose by 1 to wigan and run Saints close.

Good old Calendar Sports! Showed a clip of a women's rugby league game, but not even a mention of the only Super League game of the weekend..... involving a local side as as well. You couldn't make it up>

Very entertaining and competitive match. Could have gone either way. Leigh have unfortunately not given 100 percent effort in a lot of matches this season. When they do get stuck in, they do compete in the main. Wakefield scored some good tries and have some talented individuals. The Tierney and Mellor tries for Leigh were very good. Both teams gave their all. Will no doubt get shot down for this, but the crucial late Liam Kay try was not a try. However, well played and good luck for the rest of the season..

The late try was Mason, Liams Kayes try very much was a try and only you seem to think otherwise. You could say one of Leigh's tries came from a blatant forward pass but you didn't.
