How about the club knew it was getting to this situation long ago so put its prized asserts on longer deals so when the need arrised they could get some money for them? Amor aiton kirmond collis. Good players who would not be turned down by most SL clubs

Feasible and something I considered at the time.
That to my mind would have been an indication of sensible governance, making any loss worth it's maximum financial benefit to the club.
Obviously I discounted it straight away!!! |
