| Sorry if I've missed this but, what is the difference in sky money for clubs finishing 11th and 12th next season compared with the unfortunate 2 clubs that finish 13th and 14th.

| If there is anyone out there willing to lose( you can't really call it investing at this stage) their money into the club, they are staying extremely well hidden!!

So the post last week by Devil Within, suggesting that a group of people were willing to invest for a stake in the club, wasn't true?

| Is there any actual proof about needing to reduce the wage bill by £200000? Any proof that people have been asked to wage drop by 15%. Any proof at all. All I have seen recently is a winding up order getting dismissed. If not is it a case of people believing the loud minority on here??

Cowling not 100% made his mind up yet, as reports suggest, but Agar had a chat with Cowling, who is keen for a regular starting role.

| As far as I can see we don't have anything to back up any of these rumours so far.
What we do know is that we were in a tricky situation financially and that was backed up by the club.
We have continued to resign our best players for next season and recruit one of Wigans better forwards also.
We have navigated one CCJ with the HMRC petition still to be heard, but according to the club this will also be dealt with.
STs are available on good terms for next season and at good prices.
As far as I can see there is a lot of jumping up and down at conjecture and very little consideration paid to what we are doing well.
Clearly there are issues if the rumours are true but at least this board is willing to get others involved; something that appears an inevitable requirement if we are to avoid further ccj's having to sell of our match day revenue streams and players to the highest bidding opponent.
An independent external audit of the club from top to bottom would be my suggestion to identify loss making areas and under achievers and put in place a sound platform (something to be fair, we should already have put in place) for the short to mid term.
I'm fed up of hearing about staff at the club that bleed red white and blue, so does ngb4c and I wouldn't want him running the club.
It's AGs money I would assume he doesn't want to blow it, it's up to him to sort out the business once and for all.
Righto back to the San Miguel!!!!

I'd rather see Lynn going to Halifax and Agar putting some trust in cowling.

What sensible person would want to put money into an organisation that had all the liabilities created by spirit of 1873 ?
If it was me I would want no part of the £400K owed to WY Windows, the un paid tax, and everything else. I would want the money to go to running the club and not getting other people out of a mess. Is that unreasonable ?

Thats a fair point but if there is any investors out there then they need to make themselves known before the club were enter adminstration in order to set up a pre-pack agreement and get the rfl onside. Otherwise they run the risk of buying a business thats had its major assets, the players, sold off to the highest bidder in the intervening period. The fact that a shareholder of the club knows nothing of any interest makes me think that sadly they don't exist.

How hard are they looking ? We are still a SL club with Newmarket on the horizon. I am sure there would be interest.
It needs the present BOD to start things moving and set up a really tempting proposition.

| Quote: Fordy "I will be absolutely gutted if this happens - Been saying for ages we were going to lose Cowling if we didn't give him a chance. He has not been given the chance to show what he is capable of aside from in the odd game. He has proved as capable in those couple of games as Lyne has shown in all the chances he has had, and he is "home-grown" which is a necessity as we don't appear to have many more coming through in the immediate future (although long-term looks better I believe)
Agar should be telling him to hold fire on his decision and giving him the remaining 3 games to show what he can do if given a chance.
Completely agree. Its concerning that a club trained player who has shown potential in the first team games he's played has been overlooked for a player who has shown very little. Its situations like this that gives the impression that Agar has his favourites. Lyne is an Agar signing on a 3(?) year deal so it seems he gets more opportunities to make the grade.
