Lets get some young homegrown players (Wildie, Morton) in for the derby and lets get some pride back.
Cant have done much for team morale dropping Walshaw. Is Moto Tony still at club?'"
They went down friday and stayed in a posh hotel.
Walshaw is a better player than Sykes and can defend and catch high balls.
Moto is still at Wakey.

Sorry to disappoint you but I'm not his mom or dad, or any relative in fact, but I'll take that as a compliment as they are lovely people!

I agree the guy is a real grafter and puts a lot of work in BUT as a fan it's frustrating to see us marched back 50 metres time after time. Good sides invariably score when given a set of six in the oppositions twenty zone.

Can't really agree with this considering its not Glover that put in a poor performance like that.
Tbh, i think this is just one of them games that's happened, and needs to be forgotten about, rather quickly!

| Very few teams don't have a 'nightmare' match in a season, so let's hope this one was ours. To single out one player (Raleigh) is unjust. I have to say I have been pleased with his contribution so far, in fact let's remember a week ago they were all hero's!
Perhaps the old enemy of complacency was to blame, in any event if a kick up the backside was needed they got it, now learn and MOVE ON, there's plenty of games left to win!

I would n't blame any one person and certainly not Raleigh. My posts regarding his penalty count are just in response to earlier posters.

Point taken. Other individuals have been pointed out as well by other posters but sometimes you just have these games that defy logic -there's no apparent reason why the team underperformed, wish I'd a quid for every time I've seen such a game. The measure of the team and the coach is how they learn and bounce back!

| It's difficult to say where we actually reached the point of no return. I think when Sykes put the ball dead straight from the restart and London went in again a lot of heads dropped.
Sykes it is then?

Yes, I will defend a player who in my opinion you singled out unfairly. I read no similar criticism of your so called star players who kicked out on the full, dropped catches, missed tackles etc etc etc. Hence I feel you are being unfair and there is certainly no need to stoop to even more insults.
As I stated, and most would agree, it was a poor TEAM performance.
And I think you will find Raleigh puts that kind of tackle count in on most games. Perhaps you haven't heard that old saying DEFENCE WINS GAMES?
The only thing I find amusing about your comments is that you call yourself a supporter.'"
www.superleague.co.uk/statistics ... eason=2012
No perhaps as his mate, you would like to think he does that many tackles per game or maybe thats what he tells you?
When in reality he doesnt.
2012 - 25 per game(before last night)
2011 - 20 per game
2010 - 24 per game
2009 - 24 per game
Defence can win games, but you still need a pack to lay the platform, you still need props that give you some momentum and go forward - Raleigh doesnt offer momentum or go forward, hence waste of shirt playing prop, but as i stated previously - decent back rower.
You obviously missed the criticism of Mellars and Washbrook in the same statement,i presume it was the tears in your eyes after reading about your mate that blurred your vision.
Dry your eyes and get over it!!!!!!

| What a horror show.
How can we go, in the space of a week to being unable to pick a mom because everyone played well, to 6 days later, not being able to pick a mom because 1-17 were awful.
London didn't have to play any rugby to beat us.They were almost playing 5 drives and a kick, although tbf, their kicking game was excellent and our kick defence was pathetic.
We're in for a real test now, Cas next followed by the pies and Rhinos

Poor team performance in my opinion. We'll see over Easter what the rest of the squad can do. For me, there are not many who could just take their place.
Just naming young kids for the sake of it is pretty stupid. They need to be ready.'"
We are all entitled to our opinions for me Agar was a decent player and he is a decent no2 coach he is not a first team coach and I doubt very much that he will ever be. He should never have being given the job but we are stuck with him for 3 seasons unless we pay him up.
Our discipline does not improve from one week to another our completion rate is pathetic the Catalan and Widnes games included the kicking game if we get to the 6th tackle is woeful more often than not and his interchange policy off the bench is at times baffling
Yet again we have gone for an overseas signing policy with Southern, Smith, Mellers and Collis looking nothing special whats new with overseas players we sign
Smith is in the last chance saloon at Wakefield at this rate he is going to be playing reserve grade RL back home next season he is the one who disappoints me more than any other signing with Southern not far behind

| We didn't get any form of luck last night. Be it a 50/50 decision or the bounce of the ball but that doesn't and shouldn't detract from the fact we were gash!
Pretty poor from start to finish without anyone really looking better than average. I would go with the same side again and give them a chance to right a few wrongs with the threat of a few weeks in the u20s for those who don't up there game!

| I really do not know why everyone is so surprised at last nights performance.
This is Wakefield we are talking about.
We have a history of letting teams who are struggling gather some momemtum.
When Hudds were the whipping boys you could guarantee that we would reserve an absolutely dire performance for them.
Think we were the only team they beat one season.
I was really dreading sitting down to watch last night.
It had all the makings of one of those nights and it was.
If it could go wrong, it did.
Injuries, debatable decisions, poor kicking, poor kick defense, poor ball distribution, practically every player under performing and I understand a coach broke down.

| You all know what I think!
2 good games and then we're back to where we were 3 weeks ago!
It's the same frailties, the only difference being that London were determined and, to be fair, we had neither the luck nor the referee.
We need muscle up front; mental toughness and leadership! One or two of these we can fix internally, but if Mason is available - go get him - NOW!

Motu Tony played in under 20's before our game yesterday. Which we won.
