Pledges aint cash!

No money has gone anywhere yet, its a 'promise' to help out, they will still need everyone to pay up straight away. For their sake I hope nobody gets cold feet and changes their mind.

With the stated timescales being so tight it does seem a strange way to operate. Even if they meet the pledge target there will be a delay in collecting the cash.

I'm sure that will have been factored in. The PR said they needed half a million by mid April, but the deadline is next week. Two weeks seems enough time to collect pledge's, assuming there hasn't been any time wasters.

Think they said they need it before the next round of salaries are due which is the 14th. So they'll have a week and the monday is a bank holiday. It will be tight.

It's nailed on there will be a fair few 'fake' pledges in the final total, what happens then ? If the collected money doesnt hit the target.

What needs to be answered here is the RFL's part in all this. By purchasing the long leasehold of the ground, which will have some intrinsic value they have effectively taken possession of the Bull's only means of security to trade.
It is beyond even the most fervant supporter's belief that the RFL did not have knowledge of the Bull's being £1mill in debt and now having no security for the banks to service this debt.
What is happening now with all these emotional pleas is just smoke and mirrors, the Bull's will enter admin having tried their hardest (!!) to raise the finances to cover the debt and effectively taken the ground out of the equation for the administrators to recover any monies from the leasehold.
More work for Peter O'Hara and Co and a great cover up from the RFL, lets hope for their sake HM revenues don't look further into the lease deal and it's timing!
