I saw a team trying so hard to get a win, really fighting. Our defence was outstanding, especially being 2 players down so early on too. Our attack is obviously way off but I genuinely think a lot of that is simply confidence and obviously a lot of changes to our spine. Thought Westerman and Chester spoke very well. Saw a thread open up slagging Lino off, just can’t understand it. You could literally put Nathan Cleary at 7 for us and we’d still be in the same position. Lino’s kick in extra time should of been a match winner, it was excellent, especially after we made only 30 odd Metres. If we’d of contained them down there we’d of been in a great position to win.

Didn't watch it thought it ended 13-13 - gutted!

We made some stupid mistakes but even Phil Clarke said he thought the 50/50 decisions went against us.
Short Kickoff after Gale drop goal is knocked forward by Leeds and picked up by a player in an offside position.
Ball steal at the end was completed before the ball carrying arm is down.

Chester looked ready to quit at the end (which will obviously please a lot of folk on here) but we have been desperately unlucky tonight not to get something from that game.

Just feel really deflated. It was there against a really poor team and we choked where it really mattered.

Proud of the lads no luck with injuries or 50/50 calls it, lads gave it all tonight.

Up the Trin

Lots of brain farts - mistakes you don't make when you are confident.

We throw 2 or 3 marginal passes, all called forward - Leeds throw a dozen, none called (I reckon 3 in the move that resulted in the Hurrell try).

Definite lack of punch going forward - that's a concern.

Played most of game with 15 players fit - not really mentioned in commentary.

Poor call for the match-deciding penalty - Pitts takes the ball before the tackle is complete, but because it's his "hidden" left arm, Hicks can't see it. Surprised an experienced ref like Hicks bites that though.

Players clearly fighting though - fine margins between success and failure - am I happy = absolutely not (beer bottle got put down a couple of times tonight, so it didn't go through the TV), but look at the table - we aren't in this alone = the first club to get a run of 2 or 3 wins will breathe a lot easier.

And anyone thinking Chester doesn't care = hear Westerman and see Chester's face at interview!

Composed , there is a lot you can say about both teams but that is not a word to describe either

I thought both sides were appalling with ball in hand, slow passing, forward passes, passes to the floor and behind the man. Can’t play ball correctly or put it on the floor knock one all over.

We are so starved of success that we cling onto any positives we can. The problem is it is still another loss against an unusually poor Leeds team. We did defend well and put in a lot of effort but we lacked any structure in attack, which resulted in two points lost. This match actually followed most of our performances this year, the difference was that Leeds were the worst team we have come up against.
It’s up to the club and the coach to decide what they need to do because we are staring relegation in the face.

If a player isn’t sure he’s tackled, gets up and plays on the ref almost always calls him back to play the ball. In theory it’s a penalty but it’s a judgement call by the player in the heat of the moment and I’ve rarely seen it penalised. I think the ball steal at the end should have been treated the same. It was a poor decision by Hicks - one of several for both sides - and it was an absolutely crap way for the game to be decided.

That's actually a very good point.

We lost to a team that was even worse than us and I suppose that sums it all up.
