I asked for some detail on the Wigan board and got a couple of replies from Wigan fans, for some reason the threads gone from the board but it told me all i need to know.
He threw the first punch and missed.

It can't, you've already said he didn't throw a punch.
So thats Wakey fans, yorkshire radio and Wigan fans who are all wrong.

42850_1303637344.jpg WE ARE WAKEFIELD, WITHOUT THE RICHARDSONS’ WE ARE STRONGER:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_42850.jpg |

| Daft as it sounds, the way we started the game with 13 on the field, I am not convinced we would have done much better had Poore not being sent off. I also think a lot of fans would have settled for a 20 point losing margin when we were 10 0 down after 10 mins.
Wood did well when he came on and based on today's game, I would probably play him at stand off next week and leave Sykes at FB.
Also thought Mellars played well to say he has been in and out of the team.
Tim Smith seems to still be carrying his calf injury and Washbrook didn't look 100% fit.
Finally Aiton had his best game of the season imo, some great defence and caused problems running from dummy half (something I wish he would do more)

| Not much to say when you play the form team for most of the game a man down. A team like Wigan will always find those overlaps with some of the class they have playing for them. At least we stuck at it and showed some pride & passion with a few good individual performances from the boys.
I agree with TRB on this, I think we are a better side than what they've shown this season. It's very similar to this stage last season in that we've played really well at times but we haven't put together that solid 80 minute performance. For me we've got to learn when to throw the ball around and when to stick it up the jumper, particularly when we've had leads in games and stop the silly mistakes that kill us at times.
Like someone else said previously the loses to Catalans, Huddersfield, Hull and the draw to Salford are the ones that hurt the most. Said at the time the lost points could come back to bite us and will also put the team under even more pressure. With a little bit more composure and a bounce of a ball here or there we could have been easily in the top 8 but instead we're looking down not up and fans are getting disgruntled.
Over the next month or so we really need to step it up and start looking like the team that finished last season. Start getting some consistency together with some big performances, starting with the likes of Catalans at home, Widnes & HKR, which are all winnable imo.

| For all those who didn't go Wakey ,in my eyes played good football after going down to 12 men. They showed spirit, guts and kept going to the end.If they play with the same spirit next week and don't have crap decisions from officials 2 points are ours.I'm sick of listening to opinions of people who were not there or just bag Trin with blinkers still on.As regards Poore, his loss is someones gain. All players today deserve a pat on the back.

Its worrying Agar never mentions this after the games. As for using the squad better i am so peeved off with the MAriano thing. Agar has his favourites without doubt.'"
I'd be very peeved if I was Mariano, quality player that Agar doesn't seen to like very much for some very strange reason. A bench place at least for this guy every time, when fit.

Totally agree with you Shifty.
We have let some points go very easily this season and sure, we are capable of better.
Unfortunately we are at risk of losing too much ground on the top 8 and with this in mind, RA needs to
try and get the team fit and raring to go when the Challenge Cup comes round.
If that means resting a couple of players next week, then so be it.
Lets hope for a friendly draw tomorrow.

| Farrell elbowed and then punched Poore, whats Justin supposed to do, stand there and let Farrell hit him!? You know what your going to get when you go to Wigan in terms of the referee but players have to stand up for themselves. Farrell and Poore should have been sin binned and that should have been the end of the matter.
On a brighter note I thought Lee Smith had one of his best games for us today, looked very dangerous in attack. Mellars and Annakin stood out. Team spirit was great. Bothers me slightly that had we played like we did today against Hull and Salford we'd have three more points on the board!

No he didn't and how you could make that judgement from the North Stand is unbelievable. Poore led with the elbow, which is what caused the problem. Farrell got hold him and then Poore threw the punch (a good one) which floored Farrell. How the referee gave the penalty to Wakefield is unreal.

| Well I watched it too and Farrell clearly does punch him.
It's a pretty pansy punch but he does hit him. He squares up with a cocked first too.
Poore reaction was probably over the top but you shouldn't be treated worse just because he is abetter puncher.
