So with this can we put to bed the Administration rumours?

2018 - The FinniChezz Bromance

Then he's not really talking to you is he.
Even then you are taking his tweet a bit too literally.
Lets see if the weekend brings the 2nd Mayan Apocalypse or just a home game v Widnes.

| Personally i think his tweet is right and wrong.
The supporters of this club have every right to speculate over its future, we've been doing it for decades and for very good reason.
If AG thinks the supporters right to ask questions is wrong he is arrogant or completely missing the point of what being a wakey fan is and has been for a number of years.
I agree more money needs to come into the club, i've been saying for ages that ST prices should be more realistic but sadly many supporters have got used to the discounted prices and to put them up too quickly the club would be at risk of being a victim of the discounted success and losing support it has worked hard to build up - a catch 22.
I like almost every wakey fan am very grateful to AG and also very grateful of the ammount of his own money and time he has put into the club, but do not think we will not question decisions we think are not in the best interest of the club or put the club in peril.
Supporters do not like to be taken for mugs and from time to time rumour turns out to be true...time will tell on this one, but god knows i hope there isn't any factual base to it and it is just speculation.
I hope AG realises we have as big an investment in this club as him and i hope he knows generally he has our support, i also hope he has a good handle on everything that is going on at the club and with his and our money.
Generations upon generations of family support and investment in this club means everything to a club like ours, tere would be no club without the supporters and there would be no club without AG.
May i suggest a new motto?
Together we are all in it balls deep - like it or like it not.

There is a right and wrong way to ask though so no I don't really agree with you and I don't see how voicing his opinion is in any way arrogant.
When speculation actually puts the clubs ability to trade at risk it's both morally and legally wrong.
Speculate in my opinion is just a posh word for gossip.
We must be the only fans who spend 90% of our time speculating on non playing issues and frankly it's making following Trinity a joyless task.
I'm not in the least bit dismissing the speculation by the way, no smoke and all that but I'm in no rush to fan the flames as this will not help.
Remember this you more than most pushed AG as a demi god and I warned you at the time - he is a one man band and he is WTRLFC and owns ALL the shares unlike Ted or previous Boards, As such he has no obligation whatsoever to let the fans know anything he doesn't want them to and if anyone is being arrogant on that issue it's you.

I suggeste AG was arrogant for presuming wakey fans shouldn't ask questions/start rumours - that is arrogant or misunderstanding the psyche of the wakefield fan.
I never suggested AG was a demi god he was however the only serious guy looking at saving the club and therefore deserving of our support and rescuing the club from the catastrophic mess Ted got us into so again therfore deserving of our support. Weather or not he is continuing to take the club on Teds previous collision course is a serarate issue and can only be merged by someone patiently waiting to say "i told you so" in some vein attempt of whitewashing the past.
I agree with everything else by the way but this attempt at shoe horning your agenda on top of what is only (at the moment) speculation says pretty much everything about you.
Everybody knows a club like ours in a league like this needs eithe a very strong fan base or a Jonny Dollars at the helm - we have neither.
If there are things going wrong fans have a duty to ask questions, thats what we did under Ted (well you didn't) and thats what we will continue to do - its called consistency and wanting the greater good for the club.

| We do have one or two fans that, in there efforts to show how "in the know" they are, act a bit like Moodys or Standard and Poore and actually create crises.
Personally, until I win the Euro Lottery, I'll throw as much money as I can afford at the club and look as far forward as the next game. This ethos has served me well since the 60's.

| We need to be carefull that we don't cross the line between a supporters independent forum and the clubs second twitter outlet.
This board is for fans to ask questions good or bad, within reason.
Maybe if posters didn't jump on every word said on twitter/facebook and come running on here we'd all be better off.
Just a thought.

| The 140 character limit on twitter does not lend itself to making concise informative club statements, i wish they (AG and JE) would pack it in, it just does not help the club or the supporters the way they use it.
The club has a face book page and a website that more people can use than twitter anyway and is more useful, twitter is just a cock measuring contest for them and at times it backfires - badly.
Stick to keeping us informed by the standard methods and regular meetings with the supporters trust who also have a facebook page.
I know the ST have asked for a place on the board and it was refused but i really do think that it would be a good idea as at times the club do not seem to understand what its like being a fan and equally at times we do not appreciate what has to be done to keep the club viable and functioning.
Maybe then there would be less need to rely on pub gossip and rumour.

See this is where you fall down and this is where you are arrogant, and believe me when I say I do think you are 100% a committed if naive fan.
Of course I and others had plenty to say as we were well aware of the clubs pending demise well before it happened. But you tell me how airing the clubs dirty washing on here would have helped? For a start we would have lost even more players and staff had the vultures got wind of it earlier - ditto in this case (may well have started even if it's untrue). I also believe AG may not have got the deal he did had it been earlier whilst Parkin would have run a mile. The club retained it's integrity just long enough to limit the damage.
You need to accept that this is not a members club - it's not even a shareholders club it's a private business. In realistic terms the only genuine issue you can really raise is whether your season ticket will be honoured as you have paid in advance for that - all the rest is non of our business in strictly corporate terms. Because of the nature of RL I do believe it benefits a club to be more open with it's customers than other businesses but it's not obligatory. All the moral posturing in the world won't make AG tell you what he doesn't want or need you to know.
Sorry to burst your bubble but you wanted a new cutting edge business style corporate Trinity and that's what you've got - better the devil you know sometimes

Total tosh "better the devil you know" the club was a dieing & lieing embarrasment and on a one way ticket out of SL and possibly out of existance before the trigger was pulled and well you know.
Fate may well have saved us in the guise of Crusaders troubles and you only have to look at what has happened around Sl to relaise we are not alone in any financial problems.
As supporters we have a voice, otherwise what point the ST and the various supporters groups we had in the past (some of which you were involved in (I think??)) are they/were they pointless??
We all have views and if we can get the club to buy in thats good, of course its a privately owned consern but supporters are allowed to have an opinion.
If we are ignored we drift away, thats what happened before and that hastens the owner and the clubs demise, surely an active support is a good thing for any sensible owner.

And unfortunately that's the problem with open speech, if you cast your mind back to Franchise day two years since it was readily accepted that if Crusaders went pop we were the team for the drop, we were in the mire but at the time there was Cas, London etc all in the very same boat, unfortunately due to Facebook, Twitter etc the talk was all Wakefield, conjecture turned into fact and it was a given that the team to drop would be us!
The same could be said about spurious claims (or not!) of financial demise, once social media, Sky sports buffoons, Nosey Parker and Danny Lockwood get there claws into a rumour there's only negative publicity coming next!
