There is 1 simple answer to all this and that is 2 divisions with P+R, fund the 2nd division more than the measly 100k the teams get at present. By all means keep the standards (grounds etc) i can guarantee all the bitterness will go and it will bring some intensity to all the games. Ryan Mcgoldrick stated the other week the tension in the Wakey Cas decider the other year was unreal, but surely that is the type of situation the players need if we are ever going to match the Aussies. They play to that level every week, there are now too many games with nothing at stake and all the players just going through the motions. Plus 2 divisions would give the RFL plenty more scope to bring in teams from expansion areas as well as keep all the so called heartland teams happy, it really is a no brainer

And thats why the clowns at Red Hall will not implement it , they dont have a functioning brain between them and are slowly killing the game

The RFL has just said (john Ledger) that the weakest club in super league will be demoted from the division IF all the clubs meet the criteria, how do you define weakest when all the clubs meet criteria....

heres an idea , lets say the team with the minimum standards on the playing field is demoted and replaced by the team with the maximum standard in the lower leagues?

Contribution to Superleague is 1 of the criteia KK. So our final league position this year is important. ie:- 5th last year = tick, 10th (or whatever) this year = cross.

Its good to see finally that some fans of a SL club are finally realising how undemocratic (unlawful?) the licensing system is. It has never been about the 14 best clubs. If the application of the team 'demoted' is better than that of the team 'invited' into SL how is that fair and representative of a system with that supposedly uses criteria to decide on the best 14

could somebody please clarify a point about the license please? I know that we have a license until the end of 2011 season but is it correct that we need to meet the criteria (especially ground) by march 2011? The way things are going we may not have planning permission by then ! If this is the case then the 2011 season could be a complete washout if there is no chance of playing in super league from 2012!
