| A lot of class on this board! As a group, I think you're the first set of fans to credit the Wigan performance rather than tell us we're only winning because we were playing in better weather than the opposition or the colour of our socks was blinding their halfbacks! (alright, maybe not the socks thing! )
Hope things pick up for you. It was never going to be easy, having lost your main playmaker and attacking threat, to maintain form. It's perhaps going to take a little time to get some consistency.
Good luck for the rest of the season.

| The sliding defence just isn't working for us... Leaving our wingers on their own with a 2 man overlap. Jeffries kicking was poor and we lacked creativity.

| Quote GET EM ON SIDE REF="GET EM ON SIDE REF"for my money our pack matched Wigan our problem was we have nothing at halfback and 6 tries 3 on each wing tell the story of the game.
Yet again the support play was nonexistent I was happy that we did not throw the towel in and gave them a game in the 2nd half
don’t think Cooke is the answer and believe we have got a bum deal out of Fartown ref Kirmond
why sign a player who clearly is not fit As for Ben Jeffries can somebody please explain to me why the hell we resigned him i have seen nothing new this season from this fella
Blaymire 7
Morton 3
Millard 5
Murphy 5
Blanch 3
Jeffries 5
Cooke 5
Korkidas 7
Obst 6
Moore 8
Ferguson 5
Kirmond 4
Latu 5
Tronc 7
Morrison 7,
King 6,
Hendo,6'"
shows how different fans see a game i thought tronc had gone home and a shy newbie was in the 8 shirt, its a game of 2 halves and blanch recovered in the 2nd . to give a player 3 is very disrespectful and shows that (I may be wrong i know) you have never played the game at anything other than junior level. It also takes away the fact that wigan were very good . i was annoyed with the attitude in the first half but tbf Richards as been scoring tries like that for years the first one was very preventable but that's the way it goes at times.

| After getting home from Wigan and looking back on the game in a better frame of mind I think the main problem yesterday was the fact that the forwards did not gain much ground, especially in the first half, and that means that your half-backs do not get the time to create or organise. Also Ben is not a scrum half and has never had agreat kicking game, his asset is his speed to go through gaps made by othersand I would suggest that our main concern is that some how and from somewhere we must get a scrum half and get Ben back to stand off and Cooke to loose forward.

| Ratchford from Salford.
Come on Ted open your wallet, I'm sure he would rather be playing with us over Salford (no disrespect to them).
Young, English, Creative, a good runner too. IMO he is what we need, that way we have a quota and a non fed place open to bolster the forwards with in the off season.

| From a Wigan's point of view, your still feeling the effect of Brough leaving. Your pack is solid and showed on Monday that they can compete. Your defence out wide worried me a little and it was proved when of all people Joel Tomkins out paced your winger and centre for his try.
Hope you don't get too downhearted by this, because I like Wakefield and hopefully see you in the play offs
Oh, and we wouldn't mind you beating the likes of Warrington and Saints either

| Did any one else find the funny side of the flyer, 'Hopefully we can look forward to many more games like this in the coming years'
(I'm fully aware it was written for the cas game, but it was a moment of light relief at half time)

| The "highlights" of the Wigan game are on the Super League site. Or you could stick pins in your eyes.

| Not taking anything away from Wigan who are a class apart at present and serving me very well with the handicaps week on week as well.
Must say I tend to agre with Kear and his rant about the game. He's right in many ways the game is becoming quite sterile and predictable one team gets on top runs in points game over after 20 mins. One team get a succession of penalties to take them downfield, result more often than not a try and more often than not the referee does have a major impact on the game. Thaler last night a case in point, only one side was getting pinged for infringements at the play the ball, yet the side that was'nt was the main protaganist. So any effect on the result of course. I liked Longy's comment in the Hull derby when the ref pulled him out "It's called rugby league, not tag sir".
JK made the point if he wanted to see a maul he'd go watch Union,he's right our tackles are turning the game into a union style maul.
We have got to let the footballers back into the game, there's to much empasis on speed in getting back and speed in play the ball and of course the hail mary high kick out wide for the touchdown.
I don't have the answer, maybe bring back contested scrums for one, but I know I don't enjoy the game because of this predictability as much as a few years back. Or maybe I'm just getting old.
