At present think you leave B T out The good news to me is it could mean we could get more game's out of B T because he will be more fitter because of the games he played

Hall was exceptional (again).
As for one game at a time, of course its the right way and every club should follow this but, as fane, we all dream of success and a Challenge Cup Final would be AMAZING.
IF we can beat Wigan in the next round, which will be a huge ask, nobody will stop the fans getting giddy.
Stunning win today, especially without our two most potent attacking threats (Fifita and Johstone).
Well done boys

Great team performance and thought tanginoa had his best game in a long while, another great performance from hood and Kay.
Am away for three weeks so can’t make any of the games but it’s going to be tough three games if we play like we did today anything is possible.

First of all you have to ask which BT are we talking about?
The one of three years ago would probably get the nod even with Halls fantastic form.
But that Bill is mikes off at present and who knows when it will return if ever, time is not in his side.
Will say one thing, fantastic servant Bill has been he was never the natural Hall is, ditto Lyne. Hall is the most natural young centre I’ve seen in years, not just at Trin but anywhere.
He will dip at some point but so long as he has the drive and fitness he will eventually become the real deal.
Also, hope he doesn’t become muscle bound, needs half a stone to a stone that’s all,

| It’s a long old season and injuries, suspensions will all play a part in our performances, to be able to call up players who slot straight in without a drop in performance is all credit to the back room staff . We played without big Dave and Johnstone and toups , and that would have had a detrimental effect on the players and performances not so long ago in the dark period . But Willie has this squad believing in themselves and outplayed/outclassed a team where probably 4/5 of their players cost the equivalent of our whole squad , and that has been my argument all along ,it’s not the price tag on their heads it’s what beats in their chest that ultimately makes the player.

Can't argue with that but will add it's also great coaching. You can be a genius player but if you're not sure what your job is you can look awful. All our players seem to know exactly what is required of them and that makes everyone's life so much easier, especially the likes of Lino and Miller.
Powell IMHO is an exceptional coach but I think he's currently finding it very difficult to impose his structure on Warrington, credit to all in that Poching seems to be having no such issues so far.
Poching's handling of Murphy was spot on. That wasn't his normal game IMO, I think, and it's just my opinion is that he was given a very basic game plan and he stuck to it and it worked. Nice finishers try but his real contribution o this occasion was getting all the basics absolutely spot on, no attempt to thill, no goose-stepping on the outside just solid wing play - excellent. The time for Murphy to show his true potential will come but at least now he believes in himself.

| Even in the dark days Trinity could always produce some sparkling attacking rugby league although not consistently. What’s really stood out for me this season is the defence. It was brilliant to see them holding a nice steady line, no panic, drifting cross field when necessary and keeping Warrington frustrated for long periods. Their two tries came from forwards just not getting back quick enough and leaving gaps - easily solved - but generally (apart from the first half v Leeds) i think the defence has really toughened up).

| The teams youngsters are getting a lot of praise but the Coaching staff have got Arona and Ashurst playing like they were 3 year ago .Tanginoa looks more like the player he was Great to see Big Dave without strapping on is legs .The Coaches seem to be solving a lot of problems that we have had for a few years

Not something I think about this time of year but of the big names I think Johnstone and Fifita and maybe Tanginoa.

Fair points there. I have been impressed with Arona of late and as you say Ashurst seems to be finding form he hasn’t for a while. It all nodes well and I’m pretty sure a lot of it is down to fitness and the attention to detail that the coaches seem to be pushing.

I think Batchelor only signed a 1 year deal last year.

If he really wanted to go, someone will get a great player but really hope we invest to keep him.

I see a very bright future for Trinity but first and foremost SL survival this season is critical
After that providing these young players are retained along with the likes of Lino I see a team who at last
Can push on challenging for play offs and silverware
As for this season Wigan are beatable and a semi final is a one off game doesn’t matter who the opponent is one good 80 minute performance and just maybe a challenge cup final but I would take 4 points v Salford and Cas if given a choice.
