Quote: MOPSEY LIVES ON "Absolute shambles CC totally out of his depth and making talented players look stupid.'"

Promoted beyond his abilities and is only in his job now because of his too close a relationship with the CEO.

It is unprofessional and naive of Carter to forge such a close personal relationship with his Head Coach and his family!

Quote: vastman "For those of us who like to be reasonable it’s getting difficult. I really don’t know where it’s going wrong and don’t claim to unlike some.

However what I don’t get is how the players seem to be absolved of guilt. Mopseys ludicrous assumption that CC is making good players look bad is frankly pathetic. If they were good players they wouldn’t look bad no matter what would they. These are now bad players playing badly and share the blame.

CC probably needs to go because he’s lost it, whatever it is. However he’s been stabbed in the back by a number of players who’s performances simply can’t be blamed on anyone else but themselves.

How long before the next white knight coach gets the same treatment, probably even sooner than Chester I suspect.

A clear out of players is as needed as any of the coaching staff.'"

Are you saying the likes of Lyne and Johnstone who are both in the current England International squad are now bad players and would play equally as poorly for Wane?

At least Chester can regroup for our next game St Helens once he has taken the positives out of today. The problem is that this one is on TV for everyone to see.
I don’t know of any sport where the team is decimated along with the coach because be it right or wrong it is Chester who trains, plans, picks the team and the positions they play so basically the buck stops with him.

they have no support, no guidance, no simple game plan, no tactics and no idea how to solve the puzzles. We’ve got some good players but this bloke is clueless and he’s making them look bad through his stubbornness and unwillingness to change. You should know better than personal attacks and insults on me they don’t work. The coach is the boss he trains them, he supposedly develops a plan and it stops with him.

Don't think mopseys view that the coach is making good players bad is too ludicrous I agree we have players not good enough for super League but let's look we've a condition ener who couldn't inspire any body to get fit and a good coach wouldn't accept him to get player he's responsible for to be ready for a tiddly wink game never mind super league

I agree.
I find it hard to understand the outrage at losing to Catalan away as any team would find that hard in any season. I also find it strange that so many know exactly what the issue is even though none of us saw the game.

But I have to say I quite like Chester. He's done good things while he has been here and they are conveniently forgotten. I like Carter because of how he has saved the club and got us to a much safer position financially. We would have gone under this year with previous administrations. I also like David Fifita and hope he gets back to his best.

But the important thing is, I don't support these people. I support Wakefield Trinity.
I've been supporting since the 70s. Seen a lot of good and bad teams but I've never felt the need to stop supporting in the bad times. In some ways my expectations are probably lower because of this.
But even if we get beat by 50 in every game from now on, I'll be unhappy and a bit demoralised but I'll be watching next year no matter what.

Quote: Scarlet Pimpernell "I would remind you we are adopting the slow burn approach and must have patience. We all know that for every performance like today means less revenue for next season. It is not even the fact we are losing but the manner of the defeat.
I regret that Carter has never sacked anybody so the only way Chester will leave is if he chooses to go himself which appears unlikely. I look forward to our usual apologists to come on to defend the club and Chester. I suppose we could blame Fifita but who was it that decided to suspend him but Carter and Chester.
We are now facing the real prospect that some of the team might begin to think why put up with this every week when I can move on and maybe go to Wembley.'"

That was the RL/SL protocol.
At least get your facts straight first.

Yes but you said it was based on SL protocols which is 14 days, the club statement said until further notice therefore I think you need to get your fact right and I didn’t need to use words highlighted in red.

Pop tart your words ring true for a lot of the hardened fans ,but new/floating fans won’t put up with it and will/have voted with their feet .A club needs new fans to swell the coffers so to bring quality into the club. The only way I see this club going is a slow indignant death .I used to get giddy days before a game having the crack with anyone who cared to listen ,that spark has gone in me I’m afraid .Ill stand by this club and have done through thick and thin ,but there comes a time when you feel that your having the rise taken out of you by the club, and I’m very close to that , even more so when you get a team like us in many ways that are on their way to Wembley ,and all we could muster was a woeful exit without so much as a whimper .Things have to and need to change rapidly for our great club to survive .

The good news you will have no problem adopting social distancing because the way Chester is going there won’t be many others in attendance from Wakefield.
