Go back four years and consider their squad. Look at it now and consider what part of it makes you thinks its a great team. An average squad.



It's the problem with a golden generation. You stick with it, rightly, but eventually it all ends at the same time.

They needed to plan for the future and probably use their cheque book to find a decent halback or stand off.

I know that they've signed Myler now but, they appear to have gambled on their youngsters to save them and it looks like they are in trouble and they are missing Sinfield on the pitch, big time.

Myler is a good scrum half but one who needs a quality stand-off outside of him. Moon was supposed to be that but he's a little off-the-cuff and doesn't read the breaks like McGuire used to do.

Could it be the money over the last few years has been earmarked for ground redevelopment if so expect big signings when that's completed.

They are still spending, just in all the wrong places by the looks of it! It was only 2 seasons back they splashed a 150k fee on Brett Ferres!

A couple of key signings and they'll jump back up to challenge the 4.

A half back to replace Moon is necessary.

Put Drinkwater and Fifita type players in that team and they'd be OK.

Watkins and Ward fit again and they look a much better side.

I disagree, a couple will not cut it for them IMO. They desperately need to rebuild. There pack is none existant, they have a decent young player in Singleton and a decent enough player in Garbutt but the rest are either shot and ready for retirement or just not good enough - And yes I include Stevie Ward in that, fantastic player but one more injury and I am sure he will call it a day if he has a good head on his shoulders as he seems to.



Next season they will have 2 decent three quarters in Watkins and Briscoe - One of which will be returning from a massive injury and not in the best form prior to that and Briscoe who is hit and miss (Sometimes terrible and sometimes absolutely dreadful).



That leaves them with one half back in Myler who has not had a good game since he was in a Salford shirt, "He just needs to find the right half partner" is an excuse used for him since he first joined Wire and cannot be used forever - Steady Super League player.



Jack Walker and Golding will see them well covered at Fullback.

Moon is not with them next season.

Also I forgot they have signed Tuimoala Lolohea which I assume is to play Moons role, very similar player to Moon as well.
