| I've quite a range in my gigs.
U2 at Roundhay Park in the rain.
Bon Jovi and Nickleback at Etiad
Darkness and Moby supporting Robbie Williams at Knebworth
Stereophonics in Sheffield
I've also seen 2 of the best jazz big bands in the world in Buddy Rich and Louie Bellson.
I've seen 2 country bands recently in Dixie Chicks (they could surprisingly really rock it) and Lady Antebellum who were outstanding.
Big regret that I was due to go see Queen live in the 80s but we all fell out with each other and didn't go.

| And as they technically called themselves a band I've seen the Spice Girls, S Club 7 and Bros.
The first 2 were pretty good but I can't unsee what I saw at Bros..... Im still in therapy.

Jethro Tull at Nostell
Gary Moore at O2 Leeds

| In the past 10 years or so for me Kasabian have been unreal live, one of the best I've seen, saw them at R & L Festival and Glastonbury. Saw Arctic Monkeys at Old Trafford CC in 07 and then Sheffield Arena a couple of years later, great live band. Foo Fighters were also great at the R & L Festival.
My Favorite one though has to be finally getting to see The Who in Sheffield in 2000, one of the all time great live bands .

| For sound quality, atmosphere and sheer value for money it has to be Status Quo, next best Big Country, ELO, Whitesnake, Slade and Rush.

Limehouse Lizzy @ Holmfirth Picturedrome, the nearest thing you'll ever get to the great Thin Lizzy'"
I was at that Mott gig, also saw them at Sheffield.
Rory Gallagher was actually the best ever guitarist, saw him in 1976ish either Sheffield or Leeds. Uriah Heep also 76 at Bradford

| Pretenders and Squeeze both at the Tech Dance at The Technical College circa 78/79. If I close my eyes I can almost smell the patchouli oil even now.

That's just jogged my memory!
We went to see Brendan Croker and the 5 o'clock Shadows in a tent (well it was a big tent) in Pontefract park (I kid you not). Whilst we were queuing to get in, I said to my other half that I was sure that I'd just seen Mark Knopfler getting out of a limo, she told me not to be so soft (or words to that effect). Anyway, half way through the concert, Brendan Croker introduced a special guest. So Mark Knopfler playing in Pontefract park was a bit special!
On a similar theme, I was once in a pub in Masham when in walked the lead vocalist and writer for the Strawbs ie Dave Cousins. After a couple of pints of Old Peculier, the landlord persuaded DC to get his guitar out of his car boot and we had an intimate concert to a couple of dozen people. Again that was special.

Mark Knopfler and Brendan croker were two of the main elements of the Notting Hillbillies i believe, One album (Missing presumed having a good time) must dig it out again and have a listen.
