Whilst I appreciate we could have Hall covering at 6, would you have someone playing in possibly the most pivotal position in the team, when his attitude has been poor whilst he has been here.

Also, we are pinning the hopes on Miller, who for the biggest part of last season everybody on here just about thought he was woeful, and also a 32 year old half back, who may lead us around the park. I just don't feel we have enough at 6 and 7 to compete. Hull KR for example have 3 halves in their squad, all play, and player for player better than what we have.

These other average teams we could compete with have also recruited, and some very well.

I do believe in BS, but am also realistic too, that this squad maybe an improvement on last season, though still think this will struggle without a genuine half back to provide true cover/competition at 6/7.

At the end of the day, we have only beat Super League opposition only once, since BS arrived, and that is a concern

The first game that BS took charge of was Hull at home, Miller didn't do much for the first half but when he started taking the line on and using his footwork, he looked a different player and he carried this through to the end of the season.

If you look at the WTW website at the top of the statement it gives the impression that we have just signed Jason Walton, yet if you look at the bottom part B Smith says that the club are impressed with his attitude amongst other things, which if true contradicts to a point the top bit of their statement. That quote of mine above was from the 17th Nov when Walton had apparently signed, it could be that the person what told me had got it wrong in part and in fact he could have been on trial instead, that being so my point is Mr Smith has had him to work with for a month, and with money now being tight at the club if the coach is prepared to take a chance on him who are we on here to dismiss the player out of hand before he's had a chance.

Just read todays League Express, which confirms Walton's signing, and also confirms that we are still in the market for another half-back. It also confirms that Hall may be leaving, with "one leading Championship side thought to be interested in Hall's services".

From what I did hear before it was mooted is its a cheap deal so much upfront and then rest pay as you play and prove yourself type deal for Walton so don't see a problem
