| We bombed 4 tries today. I have to agree that the players didn't seem too interested but with all that we should have won!
If the players pull their fingers out we might look half decent.

| I'm not walking away. I will still be here next year when the club will be competing in the Championship. Hopefully Agar won't be.

Oh ye of little faith, we have been in much tougher scrapes than this and survived. At least 4 of the last 14 seasons I believe we have survived on the final day, Cas and Salford always seem to play a big role in it as well.

| Well said El Ray
I'll be there watching us at every home game and as many away games as I can get to.
There'll come a time when we're watching a team and supporting a Club that we can all be proud of and when that happens Ill be happy in the knowledge that I've watched them through thick n thin VERY THIN!
It'll make the good times even gooder (not a proper word but I don't care)

Aye but in the past, the team has been prepared to put their bodies on the line and show some passion.
Some of this seasons efforts are why people are dicked off.
You hear players from other clubs talking about taking a good hard look at themselves when the team has put in a poor performance.
About short changing the fans that come to watch them and expect better.
There is nothing like that coming from players or coach.
If the coach is less than enthusiastic, how must that rub off on the players?
And when some of the players don't put a shift in, is it any wonder fans criticise?

'"we have survived mate because we had players then with some backbone that were willing to dig deep, put their money on the line and give it their all.
some of these losers can't be bothered to even put the effort in and some aren't man enough. scruton should be ashamed of himself. no effort , no bottle. ship him out along with about 4 others I could mention but can't be bothered.
this lot just haven't got the ba..s for a good relegation scrap and a coach with no inspiration whatsoever. say what you want about kear but he can get the boys up for a game

| I've watched for too many decades to walk away now and believe me it's tempting to do so especially after the words from the commentators today ie disinterested, poor body language.
Like you all I support the CLUB. Not Agar or any individual but just OUR team.
Whatever has happened lets stick together for this season and whatever happens know we have done what we can.
Remember those men who have run blood to water and she'd tears for our cause and together we can make that difference.

Calm Waters don't make good sailors
If you help somebody as you go along then your life hasn't been in vain: |
|
| Quote: El Rey "If you walk away from this club now you may not have a club to come back to.
Its really that simple, we need the money and the rights and wrongs of all the arguments over coaching/Agar and the rest won't change that.
I am totally gutted with this season but i'll say it again "think very carefully about walking away" and depriving this club of cash flow.
Its tough going and most would like some changes but you could lose this club.'"
Totally agree. Amongst the negativity it really needs posters trying to be positive. It's not a lambasting post, just a sensible attempt at trying to rally fans. People will still walk away but some might just keep supporting. Thresholds on supporting a club are different. You will have the fickle fans who walk after one loss to the die hards who will have all the gear and attend every game even if we didn't win one match! It's every individuals choice whether they attend or not. Some who decide not to attend anymore have valid, reasonable reasons. I don't dispute that. Even the upmost fickle have the right to walk away. As a sports club you have to accept that sliding scales of support are varied.
Nevertheless when you love the club, clearly as El rey does, it's worth a try mate. It's tough for fans at the minute, but I appreciate genuine attempts at positivity as much as I understand frustrated negativity

| The club have already lost a load of money with the amount of walk up fans staying away.I would say we are now down to the hardcore season ticket holders and the club have had that money months ago.Trouble is when it looks like the team don't want to put the effort in it gets harder to continue giving your support.

When has it ever been easy being a Wakey fan though? Gotta stick with them through thin and thinner imo,
I don't buy this no effort idea either, we are badly organised and low on confidence but that second half today showed that they are up for it. Admittedly some individuals aren't giving 100%, which is unacceptable and something that RA needs to address.
The buck really does land at Agar's feet however, absolutely no excuse for the lack of structure and ideas displayed in the first half today, in what was a very important game, even though we are missing most of our linebreakers.

| There could not be a worse time to walk away.
As people have already said coaches,, players, and management come and go,but the club we support will always be there.
Or will it?
There's the rub.
Walk away now and there may well be nothing to walk back to.

| I'm still seething now from the totally inept & heartless performance.
I'm still a fan though...have been for many many years.
The next few weeks will be interesting.

| The sentiment is a good one but i think many, especially within the club, don't realise the depth of feeling about this issue and the immense dissatisfaction felt regarding the club at the present time. The financial mis-management of the previous regime and the subseqquent fire sale of players was the straw that broke the camels back for many and they walked away at the end of last season, and not all were just the floating fans either , some were people who had been attending for years.
Now with a coach that has taken a team still with some talent and coached it all out of them, along with the desire they had for the shirt, many of those who remain are totally and utterly fed up. Put it this way i wouldn't pay twenty quid a game to watch the turgid, uncommitted crap we are being dished up right now so i don't blame anyone for staying away. Times are tough and money is tight, everything spent has to be fully justifiable. My season ticket is the only reason i and my better half are walking through the gates as i couldn't justify the £40-50 a week it would cost for me and the mrs to go. What we are getting served up just isn't worth it. It's the perceived lack of desire that is the major issue and it seems to me that Agar has lost the dressing room and they themselves are trying to force change. The fans only real way to voice their feeling on the matter is to hit the club where it hurts the most, in its pocket. People are voting with their feet and i expect against London it will be more or less season ticket holders only.
I feel that this though could be helped by the club being pro-active and getting rid of the major excuse of those non-attendees. Mr Carter has to be seen to act to rectify the issue if he wants people to back the club, simple as that. The longer it is left to fester the more damage will be done. This is a two way street, the club needs to meet us half way. Agar must go now for the good of the club.
Staying away will affect the club but as it stands now it is likely for many to just be a temporary measure as a method of protest. But change has to happen pretty damn quick to ensure that it doesn't become a permanent state of affairs for many.
