In all seriousness, the ones who live there will be the ones with the greatest effect and I have far more sympathy with them (assuming we get the nod) than I would with June Fender, who's raison detre (sp?) has been to protect her cosseted little world and not consider any of the significant benefits to hers and Wakefield's local folk.... jobs etc....

If we get the green light on Tuesday there's sweet FA she can do. There's no appeal, no comeback, no asking for a recount & I think she used her "ace" when she called in the big boys from the LCC- That worked didn't it June! Considering the didn't reply to the SoS's request for further comment they obviously think they played a blinder in December & don't need to say anymore! Or they could have given up.

I know this is going to sound naive but I have been told tonight by someone who knows someone involved in the official process (I know, I know), that the decision has been made in favour of the development. If the person I know is freely pedalling this information then I can only assume that those closely involved (TRB etc) must also already know the decision?

I think its a fair bet that the club and a few select people already know the outcome.

The rest of us will have to wait a while longer.

Trust us, we don't know anything! I also suspect that given all the indications are positive that quite a few people are 'hearing' this positive news from sources who are just taking a well informed guess! We have heard lots of people saying they know it's good news but from knowone who we thought had a real inside track to the SoS office!

As I_A suggests, I think people are taking a punt based on probability following recent news, and passing it off as fact.
I do think the decision has been made, and for some inane reason (protocol) we have to wait until decision day, thus slowing the build down unnecessarily.
But thems the rules, hopefully we won't care come Tuesday.
