Agar is on a 3 year contract. WTW have played some good rugby until recently.

He should be given another 6 games to turn it around and show what coaching ability he has got regardless of Hull FC fans input, that was a different set up.

If the poor performances (not necessarily wins) continue after the end of this period then he must go.

I just want to know what has happened in the dressing room/training pitch since the Catalan game - whether Agar is the problem or whether it's someone/something else. Up until then I was going home happy even when the team had lost because they were all trying to win (and yes, there are serious issues with defence and kicking, but the players were up for it). London and Cas games the players heads were down and they didn't seem to want the win - it was like last season all over again. something or someone has caused that and it needs to be fixed - and it might not be Agar.

One thing to remember, a lot of this seasons squad are Elstons signings, not the coaches. I'm pretty certain that Agar would have swapped one or two of Jimmys signings for a couple of big nasty props, look at the size of the pack Hull had under him, O'Meley, Fitzgibbon, Radford, Moa, Lauaki, Manu etc. Amor, Raleigh and Wilkes have done a half decent job but none of them are really aggressive players. Because of this we have to try and adapt a different approach to games and work towards what we think are our strengths, OK it's not worked out very well the last two games but to be calling for the coaches head is a complete knee jerk reaction. Theplayers are behind Richard Agar and hopefully tomorrow we should see some renewed energy and enthusiasm, I for one am looking forward to seeing Liam Kaye tomorrow, baptism of fire and all that but what a way to make your debut!

You could have the worst coach going, but if the players respect him and play for him and try their best then you will do ok. At 1st this happened and we were competitive in games, 2 games down the line and its turned on its head or it appears so.Tommorows game can be written off imo and even if we lost by 70 then i dont think id personally be too unhappy considering the situation. But in a months time if things dont change for the better on the field then the club will be heading back to square one. Even if we got a new stadium all this talk about people wanting to sign for us is a complete myth if the team on the field isnt competitive.

I know it's nothing to do with me, but I find the posts by theboyem and bigal ver, very intriguing. To suggest that there is something that would make fans more understanding of agars appointment/position etc is something I would Love to see either or both elaborate on. Any chance you two?

I have no idea, i was replying to a post from the clan who stated that it was ill informed to criticise performances, so you best ask him. I'm just a mere fan and too far away from the top table to be privvy to that kind of privileged info. So they'll just have to put up with me calling it crap because thats what it looks like to me!

Agar total garbage at hull hes been given brass kear never had and after 8 rounds done jack all for us . Agar out.The clan uses the typical excuse time to gel ; how many london players are new this year ? = many ! They beat us 36-0! Come on hes had 5 month to make us gel. Hes not good enough !

How many more games do we have to listen to mr agar keep saying we need time to gel. The guy picks the same team week in week out because they are his favourites its not about that he needs to change the team around more to find the correct squad not stick with something that is clearly not working. He has no option but to mix it for todays game. And try not to play the lads out of position

I wonder if he can be demoted? Would it be worth giving him to the end of season and then if no improvement bringing in someone like noble and keeping Richard as his assistant.

Why does this name keep coming up Noble is the last coach this club needs

Noble is going to Bradford...the problem is he has lost the respect of the players! There is nothing there our defence is pants our attack consists of 3 moves and the effort is appalling. How long are people going to put up with it? The Catalan game was good for the first half but we nearly gave it away in the second. I am sick of excuses and sick of his crap team selections.

It's just not good enough by agar or the players

In my opinion its more so the players than Agar. In all fairness to the bloke some of the better signings are down to him and the poor ones someone else. For instance he did a good bit of business sending Tommy Lee to Shudds and getting Wood. Like wise our only good overseas players Collis and Aiton are also his.

I think where people have a genuine gripe are in two basic areas.

1. His technical knowledge of the game may be good but he may lack the communication skills to pass it on to the players and motivate them. I really believe if Glenn Morrison had not suffered that injury and was still captain at the club his leadership on the field would have rubbed off on to the team and Agar would be having a much better time.

2. He is frustrating the supporters by appearing too loyal to non performing players and sticking to some baffling tactics. He has probably given somethings a little more time than they deserve. However the blokes hands are tied over the Easter period due to the amount and intensity of the fixtures. I will judge the bloke on this one when I see what he selects from the available players once this period is over.


I think giving him 3 years was madness. However I also think its too early to make a decision, therefore not voting on this one yet.
