The only questionable one is the Castleford issue, as unless they are building or can demonstrate that they have all the money, I think they might go, but would be replaced by Halifax rather than us.

I thought also that the club statement had a touch of petulance about it,ie, you want a club, well get your hand in your pocket, and you think you can run it better, well get on with it then. Here's the key to the Trophy cabinet, etc.

Surely there must be enough shares now available for a group of supporters to form some kind of trust make this no longer the case. There certainly should be after the next share option if the deadline is met. Every time more and more shares are issued then the majority holding obviously becomes less.

Before the last share offer Ted Richardson was the majority shareholder and according forum gossip and media speculation he still is. Surely after the last share offer his majority shareholder status was potentially still true but him holding the majority percentage of available shares .
can't be correct.

Put it in simple terms before the previous share option say there were 100 shares and Ted owned 51 of them or 51%, then another 100 shares were made available in the last share option wouldn't Ted's shareholding now be 25.5% of the available shares (based on him not purchasing any more).

These are obviously not accurate figures just examples.

Can someone please explain to me WHY the developer was going to give Wakefield Wildcats £350,000??? is this from York court as a brown envelope payment for letting them use a stadium and sporting facilities as a convenient excuse for getting them the planning permission granted??

OR

Does it mean from the developers/Purchasers of Belle vue??

Ted currently owns the vast majority of the issued shares. Not sure on the exact percentage, but it is massively more than all the other shareholders put together.

The way i see it is that if we don't get investment and go bust the current shares are not worth jack. Wouldn't suprise me if someone was waiting in the wings to clean up and get the club for nothing then with nothing to pay for the club they would have more money for investment. Risky venture for us but nothing to loose for possible suiters.

Surely you should be able to get a refund on anything you buy from the club within a 28 day period, I believe (if you've kept a receipt)?

It means Cala Homes who are buying BV. One of the staged payments (£350k) was due upon planning permission being granted and the appeal period lapsing. As the decision has been called in for a PI this obviously delays the payment from Cala.

I wouldn't be surprised if towards or just after the end of last season the club arranged some finance on the basis that we would be getting the £350k early in the new year as the planning department at WMDC were giving positive noises and with the new government it was believed that the decision would be left at a local level.

Personally, I am confident that if the £500k can be raised the club can avoid Administration - but I'm hoping that the info that's supposedly on its way to me will answer the questions I feel need answering to existing shareholders before I decide whether I'll be putting any money in.

My advice to anyone else considering to putting money in is to be sure that you can afford to treat the £1k (or more if that's what you choose) as money that is being SPENT rather than invested. There is no certainty of getting the money back & the Newmarket benefits may well be discounted rather than free.
