| Putting the result to one side. Many of Bentham's decisions today really do need looking at. As for the touch jouges - is there really any point in giving them any responsibiliy at all? TV footage is the ideal opportunity to put the standard of refereeing under the microscope

| Had a word with one Jonathan Davies after the game and he thought Wigan was the best team BUT a few reffing non decisions helped them on the front foot,I.E the forward passes.

Typical Davies 'understatement' then

| The refs should be sorting out infringments like the use of elbows... not to say any names! Many a time was there line miles offside and nothing got said.... Linesmen are just as bad tho.... forward passes! So at least 2 of their tries should have been disallowed

| Apart from:
* Being allowed to lay on (which we did when we realise we could get away with it)
* Being off side most of the time (so Brad Drew did the decent thing and tried a chip over - the trouble is he only tried once)
* Leading with your arm ( he might need to have a chat on Tuesday but it won't help us any)
* Mike Fawshaw was on the pitch (a lot more than he ever was when he played for us )
So what's up?????

| Touch Judges are a waste of space, no doubt, but it evens out. They scored from a forward pass but had a real try ruled out when Grix lost the ball. We got a try when Martin was off-side, but they didn't look at that.
No complaints about result. We dropped it too often, as simple as that, so we never applied any pressure.
Now Wembley is no more, if Hudds win tomorrow, I expect money to change hands, and a player or two.

| I'm not Gareth Hock's biggest fan but I didn't see much wrong with it. It looked much worse in lose motion, the full speed replays showed it to be little more than him pushing the defender away.

I only saw it on the big screen at the ground, but I thought it looked like the tackler came across Hock, and so was off-balance, and so went down easier than if he had been running into Hock (ie, the tacklers own momentum was away from Hock, rather than towards him). The Tomkins kick was worse, and he should have got ten minutes for that, and so a cruel shot that he scored the decisive try.
I think Wakey lost the game more than Wigan won it though. Obst was left isolated against that big girl Fielden when he went through to score, and our defence gifted that other curly-haired big girl the break that led to the try.
I suppose JJB will be full again now they are the best team in the world again.

| I thought the Hock try was sure to be disallowed for leading with the forearm. I don't think it was a sin binning or sending off offence but was IMO definately a penalty. I seriously have to question the video referees judgement.

| First Wigan try forward pass. Second Wigan try pick any one from three, a combination of Wigan penalty from a scrum (still baffled by that one), forward pass, leading with forearm (lucky to remain on the pitch) I recon.

I'm glad you're finally coming to terms with this

| You scored off a blatant forward pass at the KC a few weeks ago and no one was complaining then. Swings and roundabouts. Some you win, some you lose. It's generally the sides who play the game with a faster tempo that seem to get away with these things because the refs and touchy's struggle to keep up. Best side won so stop moaning
