| I defo think we need at least one other out and out prop forward.
IMHO I think we missed out big time on not signing Thackray up last season when we had the chance. He's exactly the type of big, strong, aggresive forward we are missing in my opinion.
If he's not getting into the Hull side then I think we should defo be interested in taking him on loan if possible.
Korki will not make the team at Shudds and he maybe another option. kear had him playing well before he left and I'm sure JK and Beans could weave their magic with him.
Other than a few options thats already been mentioned, I'm not sure there's that many other options available in SL.
IMHO I'd be tempted to look in NL1 and see if there's any more rough diamonds we can tempt to join us. The big lad Simpson at Batley must surely be worth a look. He's got the size. If we could get him fit he "could" potential be worth a gamble.
I'm sure there are a few players i can't think of now in SL who aren't currently making their relevant club starting 17 but would they be right for us?

When was that then We never had the chance because we were never willing to pay the cash he wanted and duly pee off the rest of the pack and use up every spare penny we had. Stosic was a far better option - the fact that he is now injured is a hindsight issue. It's never that simple, at the start of this season we had 4 out and out props and three others capable of playing in the front row, it would have been lunacy to sign anymore. Sometimes the dice won't tumble your way, but by july we might have Moore and Bibey back and there won't be a problem.

I'm sure though to a small section of their reserve team following he is a 'crowd pleaser'.

He's an enigma wrapped up in a conundrum smothered in marmite - he really does divide opinion.
For me he was the right player in 2003, if he's all that's on offer now then Ricky Bibey's enhanced contract should be posted imediately

and all of a sudden after 3 or 4 half decent games he's a star! God help us all.

Not to everyone he wasn't just those that don't understand the game
Not every prop in the game can be a block buster, every team needs one of those that just works away at the opposition and wears them down, he's ours, got to say as well that if the runners backed him up a bit more he's got a great pair of hands for a prop, if those that lauded Scully for his off loading and ball work took a bit more notice of what Bibey does they might see that he is on par with him, the problem is that we don't play a game that allows us to take advantage of good off loading props.

I certainly wasn't, and if you would care to go back through my post (if you can be bothered) I can back that up. I have always rated Bibey within his own limitations as have a fair few others. It's the word limitations that counts.

I misread that comment as:
Quote: vastman "He's an enigma wrapped up in a condom smothered in marmite -
and it took me back to an experience I once had when playing at Wakefield and these two girls . . . . . actually I'd better keep that one to myself!

agree with a lot of the sentiment but from my point of view there was a chunk of last season when bibey wasn't actually doing what we agree he is good at. he was not laying any real platform, being dominated in the tackle and he was missing too many tackles. thankfully this season he appears to be back doing what he was in most of his first season and the first part of last year (when admittedly the whole squad was playing well)

| Mossop at Wigan is a cracking prospect and the best out of all the others named on this thread IMO
